The Hammers seem really cool, I’ve been having my eyes on them for a while. But for that price, you can get a pair of Cleto Reyes...if you wanna talk about a puncher’s glove. Would it be possible to justify getting these over a Reyes?

The only advantage the Hammers have is the hand compartment is a little more comfortable than Reyes and the feedback is better.

Good review again. $169.00 is a bit expensive though. Not a fan of that paint 🎨 coating. So Hammer 🔨 for the mitts and bag work and Shield 🛡 for sparring? Great 👍🏼 channel! When I become a famous professional boxer 🥊 I’m sure venom and other companies will give them to me to sponsor. 😉

some gloves are different their stated weight. what is the actual weight of that gloves? sheild gloves are more heavier than hammer gloves?

Looking forward to the Giant 2.0 review. I just ordered the Gian 3.0 12 oz and very curious to see the comparison to it and the 2 in this video. I need a more forgiving yet ok feedback in a 16oz for heavier Thai pads and 120lb banana bag

@@csquaredboxing Venum customer service telling me that the 3.0 Giant is a "upgraded" version of the 2.0 Gian. Pretty strange since its way more expensive and considered "professional"

QUICK UPDATE! I was just told that Venum has INCREASED the price of their Velcro gloves by $50 to $219! I’m not sure the reasoning behind this but that’s very high considering the competition m. I feel the previous price of $169 was already on the border of what people were willing to pay. The lace ups have also increased to $249.

csquaredboxing this is further evidence to me that Venum should have no business with boxing. These "pro" gloves look IDENTICAL to their cheap, $45 gloves. So what's the difference? Argentinian leather!? And then raise the price for lace-ups that require less leather to make AND for the same model of glove, but different color way (black and gold)? So many signs they don't understand the market they're trying to gain a greater share of.

Hi thanks for the support! I will be doing a giant 2.0 review soon so I can’t compare it yet to the shield. But from what I’ve heard it’s a balance between the shield and hammer model, so It should essentially be a good all around boxing glove for bag work, sparring, etc

Already spent my glove budget for the year (and we're not even in May haha), but I'd be curious to hear how these hammers stack up with Sabas' Bella Series. Side-note, got Primes in January & they feel amazing but the leather is chipping & the padding can get dented by sparring. Hopefully my New Sporting arrive before the Primes give out or I'll have to increase my glove budget for the year. Wouldn't that be terrible, lol ;-)

Haha! I know what you mean man, you got the bug! With that being said the Hammers and Bella’s are similar with feedback, but I prefer the Bella’s a little bit more. Mainly the quality and overall feel is a little better than Venum IMO. They’re both a punchers style glove, I’d say the one advantage with the Hammers is the feedback is a little more sharp. But other than that the Bella’s have a better hand compartment and more broken in. The review for the Bella’s will be up this week as well 😎

The padding is a little different, quality wise theyre pretty much the same TBH. Ill be trying the 2.0 to see if theres any difference there, especially for the huge price jump
