In French, la touche, the touch is actually related to music. When we talk about the touch of the violin bow, or the artistry implicit in the touch of piano keys, and when you talk about an artistic way of skiing you talk about how the skier touches the snow. ❄️ so in a sense, at least in French, the goddess hides in plain view. Of interest is also the idea of touch and how that is a way to charm. Not only in the physical sense of touching but in the sense of connection. Venus and Libra is the connector. Eyes meeting in a way that connects is a charm. A laugh can be charming, it connects with you, touches you, puts you under its spell. People who are charming connect with you in energetic ways. :-) How touching we say if a beautiful gesture comes our way. I think it’s there in the older English. Your letter touched me. That’s very Venusian but Americans don’t use it anymore. Perhaps that’s how come the US is a notoriously un-Venusian culture. Lots of Mars, lots of Jupiter. But very little Venus. Very little regard for culture or beauty, lots of commerce, utility, and sports. Maybe she hides less in cultures where she still exists as part of the language 😉 Maybe the more that Venusian expressions leave the language and the more that Marcian expressions enter the language: go get ‘em boy. It’s a zero sum game. Destroy the competition. (Those expressions as such doesn’t exist in current French for example or in current Spanish), the more that the US continues to become a belligerent nation. Food for thought on how the Gods can leave if they’re not given proper place to hide in plain view. Such as in French or in Spanish :-) Thank you Acyuta-bhava.

I was once a member of a "goddess" group, a pagan circle of women (basically a coven). I can't speak for other groups, but I got the impression we were not there to become goddesses but to identify our inner goddess traits so that we could reclaim our power. Over the millenia, women have been treated as superiors and as possessions and stripped of our power, and seeing female "gods" helps us to feel equal to men once again. I don't know about the younger generations, but growing up as a gen-xer, I know that I have been objectified and harassed, even assaulted, and dismissed as inferior on many occasions, as have many women I know, and I needed to learn about and identify with the goddesses to learn to reclaim my own power. Not power over, but power as equals.

Venus hides in cats, ladybugs, butterflies and dragonflies and in the moment of sunset when the shadows of trees are long and purple. Venus hides in chocolate cake and little girls who have flowers braided in their hair. Venus hides in locked diaries with beautiful covers. Venus hides in dimples and smell of the forest after rain. Or you could just listen to Julie Andrews and My favorite things from the sound of music…

I think it's really important to keep talking about 'challenging' - as you put it - views. You have an absolute right to do so. We are experiencing times when theoretically there is a freedom of speech. But in practice, we are still being oppressed when we actually do so. I am still affraid to speak up when I disagree with something / someone or have an opposite opinion from others. Thank You for bravely speaking out on this platform with so many people being able to hear you and see you. These two series have been really inspiring.

I got Jupiter and Venus conjunct my ASC in Scorpio, the way I see Venus hiding in simple day to day things is quite rare but simple. Here is a quick list: 1. Jewelery, I love the fact that we use jewelery to adorn our bodies. I collect rings since im a kid and just even having one on makes me feel connected to my femeninity. 2. Music. My favorite type of company, its very important to my daily routines to have music to acompany the mood or "to create the mood" when I dont have words to describe it. Making playlists is my thing and I just love arranging this musical order to tell a story for the day or a season! 3. The daily ritual to hug my dogs and hang with them in silence before Its bed time. 4. Having an organized and clean space. 5. Daylight :) 6. Enjoying the silence at night.

Thinking about Venus/Pluto and when you spoke about the ‘dark side’ of Venus, and jealousy, it brought to mind for me, the quote “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”. I thought this was Shakespeare, but it is by William Congreve, 1697; Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned is a proverb adapted from lines in The Mourning Bride, a tragic play by English playwright William Congreve first performed in 1697. The lines are said by the character Zara, a queen whose capture entangles her in a lethal love triangle.

That was so beautiful acutya, I grew up in Hindu culture where we revere women as divine, but automatically when you think like that you put them on a pedestal, which is not fair because women are human just like we men are. So I think you encapsulated it so well regarding being close to the divine but not being THE divine (in this anecdotal context0).

I agree with the notion of allowing the separateness of gods and goddesses to be, in that we do not confuse our connection and relation to them as well as their “work” in our lives to mean that we are also god/goddess. This has been a topic of frustration for me for many years, something that bothered me about the current spiritual “movement” and community but I have not been able to completely undwrywhy it bothered me. Partly, I felt/feel that adopting this perspective of “i am a goddess or i am goddess” for example keeps us in a cycle of disappointment or like many people a blind disillusioned ideal that we are perfect when really we are just hiding parts if ourselves. Something like that anyway. We are human and when we stop recognizing that then we lose sight of half of our selves. Yes we are made in the image of creation and yes in a sense we are an extension of that pure potentiality but a big part of our experience is rooted in our material form and our humanness. Anyway, thank you for always making such clear verbal representations of these topics ans such.

I awakened to the Goddess in 1993. To me it’s about my own personal journey to bring into balance and empowerment of the divine feminine within and without. I am not a Goddess I am in service to the Goddess. In all her many forms. You talk about being in secret. The Goddess religion has been here all along but hidden. Now she is coming into the light…BTW. I love your approach of showing us how the planets are hidden in our everyday life. I think you’re really on to something with this. Would love to see more ….

I love the etymological-heavy breakdowns and where Venus/Mars hide! (Very creative and original 👏 ) I agree with the book’s position: mortal women understanding they are in mortal bodies. I’d add to it an additional appreciation of that fact, to enjoy the benefit of the mortal body by channeling the goddesses with it. Your talk reminds me of a great Venusian exercise I discovered in a book that became a transformative, empowering, and treasured ritual for me (I checked the astrology and yes, transiting Venus was conjuncting my natal Pluto at the time of this discovery!): First, study your favorite paintings of goddesses/goddess energy in which they’re most ethereal, beautiful, or Venusian to you. Pick ten. Analyze their poses and posturing, memorize them. Then, in front of a mirror, mimic all of these poses one after another and feel what that feels like (eventually you can put on music, dim the lights, get the candles going, or be nude). Exactly what you said about “the image”. (One of mine is The Lady of Shallot by JW Waterhouse for some reason even if it doesn’t look overtly “sexual”, it’s Venusian to me - I also do this with statues I like and movie scenes. Sometimes cinematography is so moving you could pause the film and it looks like a painting) Be before the mirror and rest in the same position as the first painting before you are authentically inspired to move into the next pose. As you feel the pull of the next position of the next painting, let the guidance of the goddess move you, let Venus enjoy embodiment for a moment. Maybe it feels better to stretch or fan your fingers as you move into the next pose; whatever you do, it’ll be an organic almost feline dance; and most importantly, you’ll look and feel beautiful and Venusian, thoroughly enjoying the ringing bells of the mortal body. 🔔 #Grabbed #VenusPluto

In the context of gods and goddesses as archetypal representations within the collective subconscious: gods and goddesses are features of the human identity that is buried in the subconscious. Yes, we channel these concepts, but if these concepts are rooted inside of the core of who we are, are we not then channeling ourselves? I think the idea of women being goddesses is debatable.

About yesterday's talk. Indeed! Regarding where Mars can hide. The excitement/stimulation I've felt over the accelerating war in Ukraine caused me to reflect about what you said on that point. I'm excited in the way of wanting to fight for justice and feeling outraged by Mr. Putin's actions. Mars is very strong in my chart and in my birth family. Not primary strong, unless you look at it in one particular way, but anyway strong all on its own. I have Mars and Pluto both in Leo in my 8th house. Not conjunct, but still, they are both there and nothing else. Pluto makes a pretty close trine with my ascendant and my moon.

I like that you said, "Let the God's be Gods." I do find it funny that women call themselves Godesses but men don't walk around saying they are God (and if they do that's the epitome of a narcissist). But we do live in a patriarchal world. While there is no power imbalance in the spiritual realm, there definitely is one in the material realm. An action on one side of a tipped scale is corrective/balancing, whereas on the other side, the same action would be preserving the status quo/unbalancing. So to me, women calling themselves Goddesses is a reclaiming of power that has been stripped away, whereas men calling themselves Gods feels totally narcissistic. It just hits very differently. In a highly patriarchal culture like India, the saying that all women are the Devi is usually said as a reminder that abusing women is a sin. Interesting though that abuse of women is so common in a culture that worships Goddesses…that’s the danger of keeping women and Goddesses too separate. I think the Goddess lives within each of us (women, men, non-binary, and all genders) and is a consciousness that we must awaken to be able to stand in our own power. Shakti is the energy of manifestation and the manifest reality, so it permeates all of creation. It is that which makes all of creation sacred.

I have experienced for myself that clothing and accessories carry with them a magical sense of propitiation. As if by evoking certain matters, such as beauty or elegance, by using or wearing our most beautiful and elegant clothes, we could experience the powers of gods ourselves: As an offering, through the imagination that is stimulated by the actual fact of wearing a suit that we consider to be very elegant or beautiful, we evoke or “inspire” the beautiful and the elegant, no longer as characteristics of the suit -or of the god so apparently alien to us- but as our own characteristics. We embody it and experience it in the body and in the way of being; to walk, to talk. Suddenly, as if by magic, Aphrodite has given us her powers and in return we have put on our most beautiful and elegant clothes.
Instead of imitation I see it almost as mirroring. Maybe I'd been part of this entity and because they aren't able to live a full human experience i'm the part of their soul that has chosen to reincarnate as a human. So maybe I'm not a goddess in this reality but my soul remembers who I am.

I randomly out of nowhere started liking and solely listened to a band called Elysian Fields just because they were mellow completely not even noticing the band name. Pluto Venus.. to get in a Venus-Pluto mood just find their album Queen of the Meadow. Make it easy.. Black Acres, Bayonne, Hearts Are Open Graves, and Cities Will Fall. Black Acres Persophone and Pluto like, probably what it’s about which is perfect (apparently) got an Italian coffee commercial. Cities likely the same. Bend Your Mind is really popular, it’s kind of Venus-Pluto like. Lion’s in the Storm is my jam though. Daimon, Nemesis, necessity, and quite a few other Lots fall into my 8th. Maybe I’ll go into the zodiacal release story after I rewatch the video..

How blessed we are to NOT be Gods. After all, as multifaceted beings, we can choose to pick up and adorn the mantle of whichever God we see fit for our needs of embodiment. The Gods must remain in the strict category of their attributes and must never diverge from it, lest they should lose their character as an ARCHETYPE. We as humans embody multiple Gods each day, and thus offer a point of balance and mixture of energies which is essential for the functioning of the universe. After all, how rare is balance? We must own this ability that is unique to us and sets us apart from even the mighty Gods. For each entity, from the smallest creature to the great oneness of the universe must play it's part to ensure the continuation of existence as a fractal perpetuating forever. What is day without night? What are the Gods if we aren't present to hold them high and embody them. And who are we without having something bigger than ourselves to call upon in our times of need? Balance is everything. Blessed be and may the Gods be with you and within you always.

Since you’ve never been a woman and thought yourself part of the Goddess you perhaps missed how much imitation goes into it. The way they dress, speak, adorn themselves. The music they listen to, things like Snatam Kaur or Deva Premal. It’s an exaltation. No new age woman who believed that mantra would have disregarded that imitation game. It’s good to keep the Gods transcendental BUT not at the expense of their disappearance from the culture. We live in modern times where nothing is sacred except what you identify with. In modern society either you make the Gods part of people’s self-identity or you LOSE THE CONNECTION ENTIRELY. For example, all the US sports teams which use Martian connotations give the culture a connection and deification of that energy. But that does not exist for Venus because the powerful female archetype was destroyed by Christianity. So frankly if women want to believe they are part Goddess, and they carry on in graceful manner enchanting others, count your blessings Acyuta-bhava, we need that energy in the culture to counterbalance the aggressive, all consuming masculine one which currently permeates.
