VENUS in Sunlight Grey

'VENUS in Sunlight Grey' is the 2nd single to be released from Julie Cooper's 2nd album on Signum Records 'OCULUS' .
Inspired by the Italian Renaissance painting 'The Birth of Venus' by Sandro Botticelli , the uniquely ethereal voice of acclaimed soprano Grace Davidson and the evocative colour Jessica Cottis sees when conducting music (Principle Conductor of the Oculus Ensemble).
It is a song without words recorded by Grace Davidson, the Oculus Ensemble strings (Leader Clio Gould), Camilla Pay on harp and Julie Cooper on piano.
Conducted by Simon Hale and produced by Jonathan Allen at Masterchord Studio, London.

'VENUS in Sunlight Grey' is released on Signum Classics on 7th March, 2023 in celebration of International Women's Day.
The album 'OCULUS' is released in February 2024.
