Your analysis really resonates with me. I feel that a lot of personal issues I’ve had with this placement does come from that repression of self and trying to fit into a mould for other people, especially in relationships, which just makes me miserable. I feel like it may be a cycle of embracing that Leo self care energy, which then attracts people due to the large amount of positive energy, entering into a relationship, suddenly feeling self conscious and the need to repress to avoid rejection but getting rejected BECAUSE of the repression and negativity that it brings, and then when single again we regain that independence and positivity which starts attracting people. So we can feel better off just having friendships and become somewhat afraid of entering into relationships. So for me if I do enter into a relationship, like you said, I need to keep that Leo self love attitude instead of giving until I have nothing left. That way I can be happy in a relationship, whether the relationship works out or not isn’t really the priority, but looking after myself is. And by doing so the relationship is more likely to stay healthy. Maybe that’s why relationships stemming from friendship is so appealing to people with Aquarius Venus? The ability to keep that level of disconnection and independence but to still love and be loved despite it. I feel like our friends see us at our most natural state and the idea of someone loving that state in a romantic way is very beautiful to me. As funny as it is, my sister has a Venus in Leo and I always had this love-hate relationship with her lioness energy hhhh. Now I get it. I will definitely go take some advice. Anyways thank you so much, and 2023 will be the year for me to fix up this retrograde situation. I still can't see a difference between confidence and cockiness, but I mean it could be worked on!

I don't really think people should use this fatalistically, as you explained it's far better and more productive to use it as a lesson to evolve from - or try to, in my case!...Life is about the journey, not the destination🙏.
