Venus Saturn Aspect in Astrology is first of a series I'm doing on the aspects of natal Venus to the slower-moving generational planets. Getting to know our personal Venus can be a first step to getting our needs met--in relationships and life altogether.
Venus Saturn can feel like our pleasure center has a Stop sign or a huge brick wall surrounding it. Love can be delayed. Relationships can be scary. In this video I talk about why this happens and give you some ideas of how we can deal with this condition of Saturn in our natal astrology chart.

Thanks for this. my experience with saturn opposite venus is it comes from lack of self worth. I had huge fear of rejection and so i was scared to be vulnerable and give to others in terms of showing my appreciation or affection. I also for years would always think why should I give my attention to this person as they wont give me any? I realised recently from healing work when i feel good enough i actually want to give more to others without any feeling of expectation it will be returned. The funny thing is when we do this it usually is returned. It's so funny how when we give more from a place of being enough ourselves we usually receive more too!

Great video! My ex have Saturn and Venus in conjuction in Sagittarius... and love subject was really paintful for him, to a point that he would hurt me first in order to avoid being hurt by me (crazy math xD). I just ran up on this video and this is hands down the realist explanation of this i have ever heard!. I have this placement in my 5th house and my Saturn is n Cancer and Venus in Leo. I am an only child, never been married, infertile. When i started to study my chart I just cried because I always knew I was not crazy. I would pray attempt things and put lots of effort into it only to not see it happen. I got so tired of my mom telling me i was not praying enough. I would see myself do the same that others did with totally different results. At 48 I finally let myself just release the expectation and focus on my gifts. It has been freeing. My friends say I am pessimistic, That Sarah had a Baby at 70. I tell them I have prayed that prayer for 25 years. Heck, it would not even be fair for me to have a child now for the child. I let it go. I lost a lot of time I wish i had really studied my chart when i was in my late 20's and 30's so I woudl have not spent so much wasted time chasing pipe dreams lol. I have Venus in Capricorn opposite Saturn and yes, I relate to this soo much. Like you described, for some reason I lack pleasure in life. I've been wondering for a long time why it is the way it is, but I just don't get pleasure from anything, like for example experiences. It's like I'm depressed without depressed thoughts and I consider myself happy, because I feel at peace with life and I'm very optimistic. I don't eat anything sweet, because I just don't crave that. I also lack connection to other people. I've described it in the way that I can't feel love. I'm empathic and want the best for everyone and think that the people around me are the loveliest people ever, but I just don't feel connected to them. Right now I have a relationship with this awesome guy and I want to be in a relationship with him, but I just don't feel anything towards him. I've been wondering for such a long time how to fix this and what causes this. The best conclusion I've come to is that it's caused by a subconscious trauma from early childhood when my mom had a psychotic depression and I couldn't get contact to her. Other theory I have is that this is caused by a past life trauma. Or then for some reason I just am this way and there's no cure. If it is that way it's just so sad, because I can't get a full experience from life without pleasure or connection.

@@pujasaryal yeah usually this combination makes us to feel burned out but it pushes you to maintain that relationship that’s because saturn tries to put you in a stable relationship and Venus is a happy go lucky person it tries to move away but be thankful to your saturn which tries to makes you feel stable even if you are burned out make sure you are emotionally satisfied with that person if not walk away because saturn uses him as a weapon to hurt you to make you strong im not trying to scare you but it’s true saturn expects best thing for you and he never lets you settle for bare minimum just trust in process of lord saturn

Venus for straight men generally tells us what kind of feminine energy they’re attracted to, but depending on where your Venus is, I could see it also being related to what you’re attracting. (I hate dividing things like that anyway. Men and women. I do believe Venus affects who we attract, regardless of if we are a man or a woman. But that’s not “standard” interpretation.)

Momo, I’m not a youtuber 🥹. I’m an astrologer*. But, to answer your question, astrology does not cause anything to happen to you-BUT, the placement of your Saturn lets you know where you’ll learn your greatest life lessons. The seventh house is the house of relationships, and Saturn there means you’ll have to mature a lot when going into a relationship and try to avoid the more “low vibe” aspects of Aries energy. So no, it doesn’t mean that you’ll be in abusive relationships. But it does mean you should not go into relationships that are strictly based on physical attraction or “passion.”

Nice timing too (released on 11-11) As you might've guessed, with my Venus at 15 of Scorpio (12th) and Saturn at 23 Pisces (4th), regardless of what I consciously want, my chart is like the soup Nazi, "No love for you! Go away!!" 🤣 However, do you think that rather than attempting to overcome one's natal chart placements, it may be sensible to consider progressions.? That is, if one's natal chart does not give a particular result, the native may, via progression, find relief?

You must not be aware of my obsession with Solar Return charts, but-- Max! SOLAR RETURN CHARTS!!! It's just such an immediate energy shift, every year, and allows you to *flex* the different areas of your chart that don't get enough attention. Particularly, the moon and Mars and Rising in the SR, I FEEL them active in my natal chart. (While I use progressions when clients request a more long term predictive reading, I always gravitate towards the SR because it's a short little one year period, rather thank talking to somebody about things that will take YEARS.) As a Virgo--you'd find it useful to plan your yearly goals along with that SR chart. I bet it'd work for you. (Yes, even love can be planned lol. If I do say so myself hahahaha.)
