I did use Chlorophyll Venusaur in doubles alongside Mega Charizard Y, which was pretty cool.

I did the same except I used an eviolite chlorophyll Ivysaur with toxic, double team, leech seed and giga drain.

Kai Cyreus I prefer Ivysaur. It's my favorite of that evo line. I did that strat and it tanked a primal groudon lava plume. I was laughing when it happened.

As much as I love regular Venusaur (I always chose Bulbasaur in LeafGreen), I have to say I prefer the Mega. A Grass-type with Thick Fat? What more could you want?

I don't think they were ever meant to be dinosaurs. I think the entire evolution line is a toad. mainly just from the way they look from the back and from the way I imagine they look without the flowers.

Thick Fat doesn't remove Mega Venusaur Fire and Ice weakness. It makes it more tolerable in terms of taking hits from the said Weakness.

I would definetly go for Mega Venusaur. I like that tropical look it gets, which really suits it since the latest genaration being based of Hawaii. I also like how Venusaur gains 55 kilograms just from gaining a flower on its head and some vines. Good work on the vid btw, Loved it as usual!

@@Mercury_180 Interesting. Well you do you bud. The reason I like the Mega better is because it just feels like an upgrade design wise (they do look similar but it's not a literal copy/paste. You'd have to be blind to think that) and performance wise (thick fat is amazing for a grass type).

Venusaur has a bad rap as the "easy setting" of Pokémon Red/Blue/Fire Red/Leaf Green as it is strong or resistant to five of the eight gyms. Plus how many Mega Venusaurs are there? When you get to pick a Kanto starter in X & Y, most of us probably chose Charmander.

I love both Venusaur and Mega Venusaur so much! They are my favorite Kanto Starter, can be offesnively fast or healing tank. Overall, both amazing mons with mixed opprunity though less than average versatility. Sad that Mega Venusaur has now been lowered from OU to UU. Heck Yeah, they won! It was kind of obvious but that ending was very funny!
