Theoretically, Magnadramon is Gatomon's Mega when she is without the Holy Ring on her tail, which she didn't have for much of Zero Two. That's why she was in the movie.

The source I saw theorized that Ophanimon was chosen due to the apparent Magnadramon lacking the healing skills possessed by Angewomon (resulting in a major tradeoff instead of what should be a big power spike), whereas they gave Ophanimon an upgraded version of Angewomon's healing ability.

That cat-like Mega form you're talking about is called Magnadramon. Apparently gatomon has 2 different Mega forms depending on whether she has her tail ring on or off. Tail Ring on = Ophanimon Tail Ring off = Magnadramon

That's always been a rumour. We know for a fact that: - Holy Dramon was the only other chosen in a release at the time. - Seraphimon didn't exist yet. - Vikemon and Ofanimon wouldn't be here, but rather Plesiomon and Holy Dramon. - Plesiomon's evolution from Zudomon was a bit iffy and looked like an alt requirement for Plesiomon. - Even after the Megas were chosen, Bandai seemed to want Garudamon to evolved into both Hououmon AND Griffomon until they released Brave Tamer and dropped Griffomon.

Wormmon's Ultimate is DinoBeemon and his Mega is GranKuwagamon. In the CD drama Armor Evolution to the Unknown for 02, Ken uses the Digi-Egg of Kindness to Armor Digivolve Wormmon to Bucchiemon.

I like the Japanese but in all honesty the digivolution sequences feel a little more dynamic and action packed than the japanese. Example is when they are fighting VenomMyotismon or when MagnaAngemon appears. I felt the music helped those scenes come up better in English. Plus MagnaAngemon's voice.

after watching digimon adventures to digimon xwars, i realized there's more than one way to digivolve and i guess gatomon can either warp digivolve to ofanimon or magnadramon. i still like the japanese backround music rather than the english one when they digivolve, it sounds much more epic that way.

Actually the reason for that is that Ophanimon's design wasn't created yet so they just used the Holy Beast as opposed to Seraphimon's highest angel.

Besides War Greymon, Metal Garurumon and Holy Dramon, they weren't thought up of yet =P (Hououmon, Rosemon, Herakles Kabuterimon and Plesiomon existed, not Seraphimon yet, but they weren't linked to the Chosen's Digimon, not until Tag Tamers.) Digimon Adventure kind of presented the Mega level as a special and limited level. They would've also been different from what we see here since Vikemon and Ofanimon weren't thought up of yet. (See Brave Tamer for the contemporary official Mega evos.)

So because there isn't warp digivolving for the other six in the manga (with the exception of Angemon in the movie, who even then doesn't have a Patamon voice acted "warp digivolve to" voice) and no English dub of this game, you had to use their normal "digivolve to" voices, resulting in the skipping of sound between "----mon warp digivolve to" and a couple of the Mega Digivolution name pronounciation, right.? I think they retconned it in later sources. Once they came up with Ophanimon they were like, "Hey this totally works as a complement to Seraphimon lets just change it." Besides some digimon have multiple evolutions. Augmon can become either Greymon or Geogreymon. Greymon can become Skullgreymon or Metalgreymon. Zudomon can become Vikmon or Pleisiomon. Besides I think Ophanimon is a better fit, Magnadramon felt out of place to me

nope. Well, gabumon's and agumon's did in Digimon Adventure, gatomon and patamon digivolved from their ultimates to mega in a movie ( and angewomon digivolved into magnadramon, an alternate mega form), but the others, while they are the real mega forms, didn't happen in the series.
