also might sound weird but hear me out when you are at home talk to yourself a lot. Narrate your cooking as if you're making a cooking video talk to your pets as if they are other people tell yourself the things you just studied something just happened and you wanna talk about it ? just tell it out loud as if your friends are sitting right there getting used to talking more, getting used to your own voice and "practicing" to talk longer sentences and telling stories etc will make you more confident in your talking and voice. and since you are used to talking at home now anyways it will be easier to talk in front of people source: my best friends are introvert (including my brother) and it has helped them a lot also i just yk found as many excuses as i can to talk with them a lot lol so they ended up being more open to talk with others :]

Thank you for sharing your technique! The thing is, for me, I do get comfortable and chatty (even for hours!) when I'm around people I'm close with... but when it comes to other people outside that circle, esp social gatherings, I end up feeling like a snail wanting to shell back in 😭

I talk to myself a lot but I still get anxiety around people.. like I’ll get nervous even around my friends if they bring me into conversation lol

That's actually something I do, I won't lie... I act like I care when I really couldn't give any cares for it. It's also why I have my headphones on because that deters me from talking. But if it's to talk more, I respond with small answers. If it's for something they want to know more of, like a book I'm reading, I would say the vague details. And if they ask where I'm writing, cause my family and close family know I love to write, I just tell them no where.... I don't need them knowing I write fanfics 🙃 For anything else, I'm just mainly the one no one talks to because I have my headphones on.
