Teacher Catie, thank you for this valuable lesson. I've come across "shrink" in a few contexts before and was even about to suggest this verb. Yet, let me suggest a couple of examples with it now: "Things shrink when they rot." "My two cents are, shrink the window!" "The spies had not shrunk back even though "The Others" pledged to target them." "Seeing the gunmen, the crowd didn't tempt fate as it shrank away." "I bet you don't want to shrink from scrubbing in, right?" "She gave her word to them, stating she wouldn't shrink away when push comes to shove." Greetings from Ukraine. Keep your spirits up. You shouldn't flee from shrinks!

I love this idea. I've actually had a plan to do a themed week of "kid," "parent," "baby," etc. as verbs. I'll add this to my list, but it might be early 2025 before I get to them!
