@simondrye the lines you quoted weren't said by me, but thats not the point...'A monster born out of frustration and anger' if you understand that line maybe you understand the song a bit better, this is meant to be a metaphor, I doubt it will harm people subconsciously, but if it does, does that mean we can't express anger or the dark side we all have? not to start an argument tho man, cheers for listening anyway, maybe check out the album this is only one track from a larger body of work

@simondrye "I think uplifting, conscious hip hop naturally brings lyrical dexterity and imaginative execution" firstly dont really get what u mean here, doesnt make sense if u read it back.. also a lot of ppl have an angry side and tracks like this are good ways for the artist to get it out.. at the end of the day everyone has dark times. how is the illest out of place? not every track an artist makes has to be "conscious" for them to be good.
@thechristwedeserve13 жыл бұрын
@simondrye didnt know who that was before u replied that, not sure but im pretty sureJe Tsongkhapa didn't have to deal with bein a classles british white male living under the pressure and opression of modern britain, maybe thats why he was a buddhist not a uk hip hop artist. music is a way of dealing with things in your life and problems u face, bit like meditation... im sayin writing a track like this helps get out anger and frustration in a more productive way that lampin someone..
@maulmask13 жыл бұрын
whoever the 2 idiots are who thumbed down this track...u ain't gotta clue.
@simondrye13 жыл бұрын
this is a shame. intense track for sure...but the content...seriously verbz went to the dark side...mescaline tabs...o woy...so impressive; "good will decreases". Wonder if any even thinks about the lyrics on this track, or the effect that listening to it has on their subconc. Great beat though. i prefered verb t back in the day, when he was head-nod optimistic.

there is a difference between you not getting it and it not making sense. Do i agree on your last point, but i am just saying that in my opinion he makes better music when he is chilled. Does everyone have dark times; are you sure? Did Je Tsongkhapa have dark times?

Of course, freedom of expression is great and who should i be to stop that. As an artist though, i feel that earlier work like broken window was far superior in terms of lyrics and beats (not just the mood). I sampled most of the tracks of this album across youtube and overall it was alright...nothing special. I't just a personal thing that i prefer uplifting content; i remember back into the day being big on Vinnie Paz out of Jedi mind tricks and Chester P outta Task Force....
@Luke7ube13 жыл бұрын
@666m111 No way ! strongly disagree with that one bro.
@simondrye13 жыл бұрын
But after i while i actually started to listen to a lot of the lines are realise that for me (and no i dont push that opinion on others) its just took away from the vibe. Here is another example...Jehst.....absolutely love this artist, and although i do rate Dragon of an Ordinary as a good album..nothing recent will touch Return of the drifter. I think uplifting, conscious hip hop naturally brings lyrical dexterity and imaginative execution. The track "illest" for me is just out of place...
