See these are standard identity based trigo problems...and angle is also not common. So write the expression in general as above as then put any know easy value..like 0, 90,45 etc without making equation imbalance. So when u put x = 0 1/2 + 1/2 - 1 = 0 For more explanation...revise Abhas Sir's lecture again 😇
