Sadly, she had planned to take this dark secret to her grave. She never sent an anonymous letter or made an anonymous call for authorities to give him a name for twenty-three years. Thank God for Ava who never gave up on locating him. Justice for William❤

At least she has to live the rest of her life with the public knowing what happened, even if the jury couldn't make it official. That's a form of punishment.

This attorney is one excellent, brilliant, gifted attorney. I’ve never heard such a worthy closing argument. I don’t know if he is her Public Defender but if he is a PD he needs a raise and he should go into Private practice. He nailed it and the jury heard him.

Ava's a hero. I like what the prosecutor said about Charlotte not being far from Atlanta. Ava or some of the father's family would have come for that child if Teresa had asked them to. We'll never know if Teresa left Charlotte with her son so she could disappear him where it wouldn't be noticed or if she got to Atlanta and made her decision there but, either way, like the prosecutor said, it's high time she's held responsible for his death. That the details get lost in time shouldn't give a murderer a free pass.

There’s no way for the state to prove this. She should not be convicted. The situation is sad, but they can’t prove murder.

I agree. Even the judge said we dont know the cause of death when arguing over proposed instructions. Simply hating her is not proof of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt as to the first degree murder charge. As to abandonment of body she might be guilty of that as she admitted that.

What lead a "21yo baby" a young mother to leave her child's body in the woods, after an accidental-overdose... Is obvious?! Yea, she may be the one on trial, but she's not alone, in fault... A lot is withheld, but we know what we know and that's that the little fella was born with two families🤔 Two families, that either hated his mom so much so he winded up suffering the consequences of adults not putting pettiness aside, or their living conditions back then were no better... By the look of the father, he's had some battles with drug addiction and if his family were more fit for the child's (safety,) why allow so much time to go by w/o reporting the mother's unstable living or mental conditions🤨

@@arlora8930You're truly insane if you're trying to blame William Sr family for Teresa's actions. Teresa hid the child, his disappearance & his death from his paternal family and the rest of the world even though friends & family we're looking for him. There's one person responsible for William's death and that is Teresa.

I hope the verdict is decided today. When it takes this long, it's likely that they're not understanding the meanings of the charges. I done believe she intended to murder the child, but, she arrived in Atlanta and soon after her arrival, she was already telling lies about Williams whereabouts. She wasn't known in town not even William, so this made it easier for her not to be connected to the child when he was found. No one knew who they were in Atlanta. She saw her son dead, and decided to leave him there and continued to lie about his whereabouts. This woman is so quilty at so many levels.
@db165489 ай бұрын
She walked away and left his body because she was screwed up. More than likely on drugs, but that doesn't make her an intentional murderer.

I wish the prosecutor would have run her credit report and tax history to prove where she lived and worked during this time.
@kyliemarie63869 ай бұрын
They more than likely did run it but came up with nothing. Even working at the strip club, it’s typically cash money so there wouldn’t be evidence of much even during that time.

This murder charge...I don't know. The ME says the manner and cause is undetermined. No conclusion on whether the tylenol/benadryl was an overdose. No conclusion on whether the jaw fracture was pre or post mortem. The neglect/isolation evidence isn't there, everyone says they saw and took William whenever they wanted except the father. If she wanted rid of William she could have left him with numerous people in North Carolina, as the State mentioned numerous times, and gone off on her own. So many holes in the story that she dumped the body. Who was this accomplice with a car that helped her dump a dead child's body in the woods?? The State kept claiming she knew no one and had no ties in Atlanta. The strongest evidence is her lying about his status for years after he died and the fact that she admitted she left him in the woods when he wouldn't wake up that morning. So she's guilty of something but murder is a stretch IMO. I'll accept what the jury chooses. I'm glad I'm not in their position.
