@Dream Shaker In Australia when you first go for your license at 16, you receive your L-plates (Learner's). At 17 you can go for your Red P-Plates and at 18 you can go for your Green P-Plates and depending on what state you live in you have your green's for 1 or 2 years. P stands for Provisional meaning you are restricted to a speed limit, can only drive some vehicles, and have less demerits than a full license.
