Idk why, but even the most advanced cosplayers always seem to have trouble making the cosplay look “natural”. Wether it be a lot of latex, a lot of obviously plastic parts, or just the cosplayer’s complete non-resemblance to their chosen characters, not a single cosplay I’ve ever seen actually “felt” like the character they were cosplaying. But now I see the issue, it’s not the quality of the cosplay itself, it’s actions of the person wearing it. Most if not all cosplayers just walk around and take pictures while smiling, never even taking a second to act like their character. The reason this man achieves that feeling of realism is pretty much a perfect mix of simple and realistic costume design combined with excellent acting. He doesn’t just WEAR Virgil, he sits like Vergil, holds his sword like Vergil, drinks Monster energy like Vergil probably would, and he ESPECIALLY smiles like Vergil. That combined with a simplistic outfit that actually looks like something you would wear IRL just makes the Cosplay the most perfect cosplay I have ever seen.
