Just got my first gaming pc. Came with a 1tb ssd. Looking to add another ssd. Do i need a ssd with heat sink like on the ps5, or would one without it be fine? Probably going with either a 2 or 4 tb

techbically you dont need one but i suggest it. i have wd black 512 m.2 just to my main games and main files so if your just going to be putting games on the ssd i suggest just getting a seagate 2tb hard drive for 50 bucks. i have one and havnt had one problem with it jus the download speeds are a little slow but my internet makes up for it. or just a normal ssd would also work

u prolly dont need a heatsink and 1 tb is more than enough unless you have lots of games/files

If your motherboard has a heat sink cover for the SSD, you’ll be fine with one without a heat sink, but if it doesn’t get one with the heat sink

Do u think a Ryzen 5 3600, asus prime b450m-a mobo, 512gb ssd, rx 6600, 600w psu, montech x3 pc case, and 32gb of ram is good for streaming apex?

So First if you wanna get into streaming, i wouldn't recommend the RX 6600 bcz it'll probably get lag spikes, plus there is no AMD streaming app like nvidia (example Geforce/RTX experience), most of the games are optimized for nvidia so what i would recommend u to get is a 3060 or a 3060ti (which is the RX 6600 equiavalent) and maybe try to upgrade your ryzen 5 after you started streaming so you don't upgrade the ryzen only to stop streaming a year after, if you really feel the bottleneck (which is 19% for the 3060 paired with the ryzen 5 and 15% with your actual build) but in conclusion i would recommend that you get an RTX 3060 since it's optimized for the best and you can change most of the settings with Nvidia gpus and i would also recommend that you get another 512 gb ssd because 512 gb will fill up rapidly since it's your personal pc (so most of the time you will install stuff that will take up space, like editing softwares (Photoshop, Premiere, Filmora etc) so as a starting point you can play with an RX, but if you follow what i say you should get this build R5 3600 ASUS Prm b450m-a 1TB SSD (512gb x 2) RTX 3060/3060Ti 600w psu (it's enough but u can take 700w for precautions) montech x3 pc case 32 gb (kinda overkill bcz it's rare to find a combo to fill up all your ram, normally it barely reaches 10 while having games open, and that is with a DDR3 32gigs that i have and my pc barely reaches the 16 mark)
