A few corrections. 1. Around 13:38 I accidently put in the s+d heavy attack into heavy 2, instead of the spear+shield push attack into heavy 2 and then scripted based on what I was looking at on my screen. The sequence is correct but the real difference is that the spear+shield does NOT have 10% crit chance and the specified damage numbers don't apply for that scenario. 2. Around 17:30 a short soundbyte was misalinged a couple of seconds. Basically I was saying that the basic crit% of most heroes is 5%. But for heroes such as shade and WHC the base crit% is 10%. So 10% base + 10% from items + 25%/50% from the attack sequence. Giving you a 45% and 70% chance to execute an elite with the 2 respective light attacks!

Her greatsword's heavy 2 is reached by inputting a light attack after her heavy 1. It is a horizontal sweep that deals light armor damage but more importantly it doesn't seems to change the timing on charging another heavy 1 so I have been finding it quite usefull for breakpoints. I found it after watching your video and wondering where that attack was. Awesome video & thanks!

You can perform the 2nd heavy attack on two handed sword by holding the heavy attack for a little while. It will perform a sweep. When you hold it longer,it stabs. And if you do heavy-light attack,then the light attack is also unique.

5:34 I think it might count the move she does if you do her normal heavy stab and then light attack immediately. She does a different animation than her normal swing, one that looks like a perfectly horizontal left-to-right sweep type of thing.

Yeah that does seem to be the case. But it still makes no sennse that you can't get to heavy 2 by using a heavy attacks. Like not being able to heavy attack the attack kindna makes it not a heavy attack and even more so since you have to light attack to trigger it. It's yet anothe oner of thosse fatkshark logics scenarios where I have to scratch my head for quite a bit before I can continue making my guide. :P

An interesting note about that attack, if I remember correctly the follow up light attack off of the great sword heavy is an armor piercing attack.

Great vid as always. Wanted to share a minor yet interesting detail about spear light attack chain. After you complete full light attack sequence and make another light attack (4 light attacks in sequence) - next heavy attack would be a heavy 1, not heavy 2. And the whole thing now chains in itself - heavy 1 - light poke - light slash - light poke - heavy 1 again and so on, without a need to block cancel. Any interruptions cancels the whole string, it's kinda useless and suboptimal combo, but hey, it exists! :)

So many hidden mechanics in this game that aren't liisten anywhere in the game. But worse yet is that every mechaninc that is listed is either so vaguely described that it's hard to feel certain, or described so certainly, that questioning it never very rarely occur to you luring you into a false assumptionn. Everytime I make one of these complex guides I always finish with atleast one suprising thing that I had entirely misunderstood or simply never questioned. 14:55 You begin to talk about Heavy 1 into Light 1 and 2. The problem is that Heavy 1 will progress your chain of attacks and puts you to light 2 and 3. A simple test on a keep dummy even shows the bleeding effect from 3 being applied and the swing coming from the dagger and not the sword. You can wait a second after heavy 1 to reset your chain but otherwise, that combo does not work as told. That being said, do you still think Heavy 1 into light 2 and 3 is good enough?

About the dual daggers - not sure how much I can trust the numbers in the game, but doing the tests I have noticed that dual daggers have the highest damage for shade's ult (they are critting 4 times). Also... It's annoying that each class has a top tier weapon coming from at least one DLC :/

Yeah the dual daggers heavy 1 and the sword & dagger heavy 2 share the best shade ulti althohugh it is a special case. But one thing to keep in mind when looking at the dmg numbers for weapons such as the dual daggers is that the dmg output listed on the heavy attack is equievelant to 1 of your 2 daggers. Meaning if you do a propper attack and hit with both of them which you will do for the most part. You should double that number before comparing it with single weapon attack. But honestly you shoulden't be too concered with necessarely always using one of the weapons from the top tier section. For 9/10 players one woulden't necessarely be significantly better than another. It takes a quite experiencned player who really knows the weapon inside out for the differennce between most of the weapons to be very significant. Like the dual daggers is a weapon I would feel more than comfortable with on any difficulty despite their simplistic nature. Anyways thank you for watching m8 and have a gret everning! :)

@@Midaspl No i'm reffering to the listed number in the armory. The reason you see multiple floating numbers is simplly because the numbers are capped at 25750. So any attack dealing more damage than that will show up as factors of that number + whatever is left.

@@Midaspl You will always get 2 numbers with heavy 1 when attacking a dummy. One for each blade. But when you ulti with shade you can easily deal 200k. Let's say you deal 103.000. You will get 2x 25750 from each blade. if you had done 1.000 more damage you would also see 2x500. The only way to really see the dmg output is to install a mod called show damage and go on the modded realm. It will then type the same numbers in chat as well so you can count them together.

Thanks a LOT ! This is great and very instructive ! I'm waiting for the other heroes' videos and will absolutely see them multiple times in order to learn and practice with your invaluable advices. =) I have a question. I'm trying to learn how to block cancel in order to spam a shield slam (heavy 1) with sword and shield on kruber mercenary (to exploit the 100% crit against hordes with Helborg's Tutelage), and I'm struggling very hard. Sometimes it's when I'm missing my canceling (I swear I see the yellow shields appear but it's still not cancelled) it goes to heavy 2, sometimes it's when I'm holding right just too much and I'm doing a push attack instead of a heavy 1 again. And of course after a push attack I'm stupidely trying to go back to heavy 1, but since I'm forgetting to cancel because of the stress of failing my sequence, it goes to heavy 2 instead. It's so frustrating that it does not give me the incentive to continue practicing (because me failing so much makes me a weight to the team) even if I really want to learn this. My question is : what advices can you provide in order for me to improve at efficiently block cancelling attack sequences, aside from "try again and again" ? Thanks again !

I wish I had a simple golden nugget of a reply but this is a very hard tyoe of thing to help with in slow paced 2 way text format because i'm essentially trying to tell you how to learn something you in princible already understood prior to asking but I will give it a shot none the less. Firstly. I'm afraid there is simply no way around this that doesn't involve repetetie actions since at the end of the day it is a matter of feeling comfortable with the input even under pressure, which is the first part people get very very wrong and you in fact refferenced it your question yourself as I will get too shortly. Now there is no getting around the part where you find a dummy and don't stop untill you can average 3-5 attacks betweeb each fuck up. I suggest starting slow and focusing on doing it slowly but consitently and then building up the tempo. Ok so now you know you can do it in theory, which isn't very difficult it's simply a matter of persistance, but it's very very very likely that it's gonna fuck up as soon as you are under pressure. And here lies the crucial part. For the next 3-5 games you have to consatntly make a conscious effort and keep reminging yourself to GO FOR IT with this attack sequence at every turn where it makes sense if you could do it perfectly and it has to be REGARDLESS of what's at steak, and it has to be for atleast 3 QP games in a row on the difficulty you are normaly at. The problem is that the moment you choose to hold back from using it when it really matters because you are aware that you haven't got it yet and will thus likely screw up, is the moment concede your brain the oppertuninty to practiice it on reflex. I've strugled mysel many times with many weapons and the only thing that will work ''propperly'' and will translate to several other weapons. Is going straight from dummy to all in and ALLOWIING urself to fuck it up. Cause after 3 games of forcing that sequence out regrdless of success or failure, you have now planted the seed your brain needed to teach itself without even having to try. If you don't fuck it up it wil ltakeyou 3x longer to succed. Atleast that's my experience on the matter! ;)

I'm someone who likes to try to build stuff (the less mainstream, the better) and to expand my enjoyment of the game, I'm playing all classes with multiple builds and playstyles for each. That's how I like to play. The downside is that I (for now) am not "mastering" any class, even if I'm at ease with many concepts of the game. Your mastery mechanics videos will greatly help me by providing tools to help me build different compositions and playstyles for each class, once I know how to efficiently use each weapon.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Id bet 10 dollars that if you asked 10 random legend QP players and asked them to explain it you would be lucky if even one of them understood it fully. Over simplified. It's a mass modifeir which when used versus the right type of enemy specified % of the minions MASS is ignored when calculating the attack cleave of that strike. Basicly the givens attack's properties is multiplied with your power and other modifiers and you end up with a number which you can divide into the mass of a given enemy type which would tell you just how many of that given minion thosse circumstances would let you cleave through. So it's basically cleave modifier on that attack versus a specific type of enemies. Hope that makes sense and thank you for watching!

love your video as always! the information content is absolutely fantastic! one hand sword ftw! heavy 1 decapitation is indeed one of the most satisfying things in the game. i've seen you using shadowstep in the end. usually i use cloak of pain, but is there a scenario where you use shadowstep? i'd like to use it more often bc i think is pretty cool, but i just don't find it that usable. and also you mentioned natural bond. i've never bothered with it. why and when would this be considered a good trait? is there something i'm missing? bc getting temp health instead of permanent health seems pretty cruddy to me.

Thank you so much man! You should always use cloak of pain and you should never use shadowstep. You should also never use natural bonds on shade. I simply used them to demnostrate this kinda cool but extremely useless mechanic that isn't at alll usefull in any scneario ever unless you are doing a very pointless and higly speicifc thing like that jump which is never gonna occur or ever be relevant unless you decide to waste your time like me just becuase it looks cool! :D And welcome to the sllim shady sword clan! :D All hail 1h sword xD

After the BBB. Dual daggers have 10% crit chance on 3/4th light attack and on the push/block attack. As for Sword and Dagger it has also 10% crit chance on 3/4th light and on push block attack and on the second heavy attack. Also the dual daggers now have bleed effect on all 4 light attacks + push block attack. Hope that helps and thank you for watching! :)

It's one of the verified mods that you can use on the official realm and install right off the steam worshop with a single click. :) Do yourself a favor and install them! Not 100% sure what you mean with the icons above? I assume you are reffering too the cut out from the armory. The numbers on the left are infantry dmg. Right is armor dmg. Linesman, heavy and tank are mass modifiers that essentially grant extra cleave potential vs specific enemy types. I suggest getting the armory mod and thanks for watching!:)

@@viktorhammering6102 The name is tied to the cosmetic icon of the trinket but makes no difference in of itself. Only the power and properties matter! :) If you feel like it you can always join the discord server linked in the description of my videos which also has a tab for questions with quite a few experienced players helping out with answers a lot faster than I could manage just on my own! :P And again thank you very much for watching!

I'm afraid there is no such mod :) It's me using a long list of mods at the same time. Creature spawner to spawn stuff, spawn tweeks to remove spawns, flight, item spawner to spawn dummies etc. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!" :)

what does linesman mean?

It's what's known as a '''Mass Modifier'' of which there are 3 different versions. Linesman, Heavy Linesman, and Tank. Now in the same way some specific attacks have extra crit % some attacks also have a mass modifier.. Now the 3 variatiosns do the same thing but only work versus speific enemies. Like the ''Tank'' works vs armored miniionn but not infranty. So what's the point? It's basically a way to give you more cleave vs speicifc enemy segments, bt reducing their mass which means you can now hit through more in the same attack. @@JeremyLam0 In the beastiary mod! Simply select a specific minion and it will be listed with the given mass modifier/modifiers that work versus that minion along with a number like 50% or 60% specifying how effective a given modifier is versus that minion. :)

Worry not my friend. I don't call it mastery guides for nothing. We have all been there at some point. For a relative new player I would suggest picking one weapon and one sequence. No more. If you go practice 3 different ones and then que a game you will remember a total of 0 of them when shit hits the fan. Pick one. Remember that one. And make a concious effort towards using that sequence even when you don''t have too. If you do that It will take no more than 2.3 games before that one makes sense. And then you can slowly start implementing the others one at a time. Once you are used to thinking about it with one weapon that quickly translates over to all other weapons meany of which have smiliarities in terms of the inputs and before you know it you will be flying ttrough legend like a breeze! ;)

@@ThePartyKnife As of now I am just running with bots and mostly champion with an occasional legendary thrown in as I slowly work on getting my reds. I have found weapons that I do significantly better with over others. Take Kerillian. Love the dual daggers. Love the glaive. Love the spear and shield. Only the spear and shield however would be in your top top tier and being that I run mostly Shade the spear and shield only has an occasional appearance when I'm wanting to change things up a bit. And the glaive was at the bottom of the list. I'll figure things out eventually. You are the only Vermintide related yt channel I am subbed to. Information is incredible and I really enjoy your personality. You do a great job dude and I hope you keep it up.

I must be missing something, at 14:56 for the sword and dagger, you're doing heavy attack, then light attack 1 and 2. Shouldn't doing a heavy attack make the next attack light attack 2? It doesn't look like you're doing any cancelling before doing the light attack.

I'm not doing any canceling! :) Not all weapons follow the general rule of heavy attack 1 means light attack 2. This is an exception to the rule. Hope that clears it up! :)
