Something else not mentioned here is that with The Unending Hunt, you can ult and the crits work with the Brace of Pistols, meaning you can fire off twelve shots and if you're built for it, you'll most likely crit quite a bit. With Scrounger, if you're lucky, you'll get the entire volley of 12 shots refunded. Really powerful and quite useful against monsters

Question, I know the guarantee crit chance does not apply to range weapons (sadly), but does your allies still have the increase crit chance with this one?
@Slashingsword2 жыл бұрын
@@TeteBruleeFR the way to look at it as the ult gives 25% crit chance to each nearby teammate. Fervency takes that shared 25% and puts it all on WHC for 6 seconds, meaning it does not spread to the team and it only works with melee. I find more value in TUH just for the crits uptime and the fact that it works with ranged weapons.
@torm02 жыл бұрын
I was just about to type this. I like to run a max crit build with enhanced power 1 2 3 3 3 3 + 10 crit. Falcion and BoP as Falcion seems to be the only WHC weapon that does any damage with enhanced power. Then I just ult and spam when there are too many elites or a boss.
@Slashingsword2 жыл бұрын
@@torm0 Enhanced Power isn't really worth it when you can stack for massive headshot and crit damage with Assassin on the lvl 15 line. You crit a lot, and Falchion has innate headshot damage, which stacks with Assassin, Deathknell, and a hidden passive perk he has with an extra 25% headshot damage. All in all, you can do over double headshot damage with the right talents and weapons on WHC. Try it out :3
@torm02 жыл бұрын
@@Slashingsword I feel with deathknell it's already got good headshot breakpoints and I like the enhanced power for the extra cleave and stagger to deal with hordes.

The Slay the Spire bosses music truly highlights the Witch Hunter captain as being the true endgame boss to defeat. Also, hearing "swing a dinky sword at Mach 47", I cannot stop imagining Saltzpyre screaming "SSSIGMARR!", his rapier breaking the sound barrier during the swing, and a poor Skaven getting vaporized by the shockwave. And that keeps making me giggle lol.

Something not mentioned in this video is the two unlisted perks of WHC, which are "Sigmar's charm" which gives viktor an extra 5% crit chance on base (which means you go to extra 10% with the crit chance on rapier, 15% if you also have a crit chance necklacke, and 40% while your ult is active, which is one of the main reasons I consider the 100% crits talent nigh worthless, since you can have almost a 1 in 2 chance of a crit and you attack really fast) and "power of Sigmar" which gives him 25% extra headshot damage (which when paired with deathknell is a total of extra 75% headshot bonus) Not really anything build defining, a 5% extra crit chance is simply good everywhere, and the other simply rewards headshots, which you should be going for anyways. Still, I think its worth knowing they exist even if the game doesnt tell you, as they explain a bit why WHC performs a bit more well than expected

I've gone with Opportunist over Swifty Slaying for the Rapier. Largely due to your recommendation in a previous video, but also because the Rapier is fast enough on its own. Plus I push a lot out of habit and because I'm too mash happy on the attack button, even when I'm supposed to be blocking.
@Slashingsword2 жыл бұрын
I kind of scoffed at this idea at first. Opportunist on a toothpick of a sword? Then it dawned on me that a push or even the pistol shot would probably stagger SV out of their overhead... I'm gonna try it when I get home.

Instantly becomes boss killer when you pop ult and ammo dump into its face. Doesn't really matter what difficulty setting you're on - that many crits will *eviscerate* the target.

What is the actual bleed damage? Because it require a crit if the bleed damage is less than an extra 50% (or even more than but spread over a long time) then the 50% crit trait seems better to me. Is there a more detailed tool tip which gives more info on the bleed damage?
@darkanayer5867 Жыл бұрын
I dont remember the actual numbers, it seemed 2.7 on the training dummy every time it proc, but i am low level (an around 100 power rapier) so i dont know how it will be when maxed out. What i did noticed is that the bleed cant crit so that is that. Also the talent you seem to be refering isnt 50% crit, its 50% extra headshot damage, which i think its worse. Bleed does little damage but it seemed pretty Quick, and by stacking it a lot it feels like quite a lot.
@Philiptanzer Жыл бұрын
@@darkanayer5867 Thanks for the reply, I will give the bleed a try.
@darkanayer5867 Жыл бұрын
@@Philiptanzer something to point out is that headshot damage applies to both melee and ranged, and due to Flense's whole thing is that it stacks with every hit, it May be better with slower weapons and those with less cleave like the falchion and axe.

Strongly believe that witch hunter is just a watered down battle wizard, BW can basically do anything and so can WHC.
@covahredro83702 жыл бұрын
I'd say he's more of a damage oriented mercenary.
@Slashingsword2 жыл бұрын
Nah, BW just does everything on her own, offering literally nothing to the team outside of utility and overwhelming damage. WHC is literally a Captain because the team can center on him and his talents. Boosted crits by up to 30%, increased damage by up to 25%, a reward for tagging enemies (which you should be doing anyway)... he offers far more to the team than any Sienna career can offer, and that's saying a lot, especially from a Sienna main

Cast away is trap,Charmed life > always prepared
@Slashingsword2 жыл бұрын
I'd say it depends on your build. I run charmed life when I'm bringing a flail to bolster a lousy dodge distance. Rapier works well with Cast Away because it's only half a stamina shield to push, meaning more return for the investment. I looooove Always Prepared with weapons that have decent to high ammo count. Run it with Hunter or Scrounger and you're set for more damage or never needing ammo pickups.
@granityseis1042 жыл бұрын
@@Slashingsword cast away's stamina regen is is not a usefull amount,it's effect is more than plecabo effect that's for sure but when you time it using seconds,the actual difference between taking cast away+30 regen from trikent is 0.3 sec to start regening shields,always prepared looks cool on paper but i never felt need of more ammo except using duckfoot but charmed life is awesome,it's does not look like much in paper but it's actually awesome when fighting bosses,clutching,kiting.I see there is no competition.
@TeteBruleeFR2 жыл бұрын
I don't like the increase dodge distance a whole lot. Most of the time it is more detrimental than beneficial to me. Sure it could helps against very specific situations like having an entire cata of CW's patrol aggroed on you and all doing there unstaggerable forward sliding overhead, all out of sync from one another (quite a nightmarish situation). Outside of very specific situations tho, it mainly serves to screw my muscle memory and make me miss a lot of headshots. Stamina regen is a ungrade. Although a small on, it has no downside. It helps clutching (as stamina is very important in clutch situation) it helps against hordes to avoid a lot of damage, and all it needs is to let a little time pass for the talent to kick in between 2 pushes. It is also especially useful in legend if you run crits and curse resistance on your trinket like I like to do. Not saying either talent is bad. They are all nice at this level. But since I don't care too much about the extra ammo either, my overall fav one is cast away, and I don't think it is a trap.
@Slashingsword2 жыл бұрын
@@granityseis104 I get that. I only ever run it on Rapier for the half-cost to proc it. It shines in Send In The Next wave deeds where there's always small enemies in front of you, mostly because of the infinite light attack BCR and the fact they don't heavy attack. Generally I would agree. 40% for 2 seconds is barely enough for one shield, but sometimes, that's enough.
