Organized by Dave Jordan, The 12th Annual Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin' Festival was held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the Stoweflake Mountain Resort in Stowe, Vermont. Included in the festivities were: Trebuchet pumpkin hurling contest, a chili cook-off and live music. It was a fundraising event for the Clarina Howard Nichols Center.
There were three rounds of Pumpkin Chuckin'.
There was an unlimited division, throw for show trebuchet. It is almost 20 feet tall and weighs over 1000 pounds. Creator, Nick Helms, he has been to almost every festival and never fails to bring a show stopper! He showed up the first year in chain mail.
Becky Gonyea, was at the event. She is the head of the Clarina Howard Nichols Center, which fights to end sexual and domestic violence. Becky and her team of volunteers have helped run the festival for the last few years and they do an amazing job for a good cause.

There was even a chili cookoff, citizens challenge. If you made 2 gallons you get into the festival for free and have the chance to win $100, $50 or $25!
There were two bands, John Smyth, a singer/songwriter from Burlington and House Dunn, a family band from Williston.
Plus, lots of kid activities.
