I guess Vern didn't need anything fancy too live in as long as he had a roof over his head . Some people what big houses too live in .Ive seen rich people in Glenview Illinois have a big house and only two people live in the house . Glenview is the Chicagoland north shore area very rich

This is actually kind of disappointing! Good heavens, Porters had been making records forever, and his television show ran longer than any! Seems like he would have had a fancier house than that! And Vern Gosden's house looks pitiful! Lol. Porter always went for the fancy suits so seems like he would have appreciated a fancy house! Lol.
