Everywhere its just people saying the Germans are far farrrrrrr better, exaggerating like to another level man!! But I would say the Verna is a clear winner for me. Yes i know its not as fun as the Virtus but its far more comfortable and feels so much more plush and expensive from the inside! The Virtus feels very very cheap with all the plastics… looks wise you can’t go wrong with the Virtus. But there is something about the darker shades of the Verna! Man it looks like something out of this world (plz don’t complain… I genuinely request you guys to see it in person specially a darker shade). The Verna is so much more quicker than the Virtus i mean more than half a second is no joke if you know about cars… I would also like to add that the Virtus looks absolutely crap from the rear end… looks lifted up… and the overall rear design doesn’t sum up that well… Verna’s ass is freaking hot not gonna lie. Now let’s talk about the elephant in the room nowadays that is safety. German twins 5 starts. Amazing stuff no doubts.. now hopefully this new platform that the Verna is built on will get a better score. Only time will tell… great review ZigWheels. Straight to the point, no wastage of time.

Verna is slower than the virtus in kickdown mode from 20-80. It is lighter and has more power. Also even with 4 discs it is stopping worst than slavia and virtus. That tells you how VAGs are more efficient than Hyundai. Verna is equipped with a lot of power but lifeless steering and bouncy manner on high speed will not let you exploit that. Long wheelbase with less ground clearance makes it susceptible to scrapping with 4 passengers. These are a few negatives for me apart from the just the front side angle look for Verna. Other than that it is excelling over VAG twins in many points as well. It is amazing how much Hyundai have improved over the years though.

I own a verna and with 5 full people, IT DOES NOT SCRAPE IT'S BOTTOM. Looks are a personal choice and it is a perfect car without any niggles and rattles. The performance enthusiast in me can only push them on expressway which is once in 4-5 months for me. So, it totally depends on one needs. Forming a judgement by watching reviews is misleading. VAG fanboys are fanboys. You cannot make them understand. And one sir commented on headlight throw. Watching a video of headlights comparison and actually seeing with naked eye does makes a difference. I have worked with camera's for 17 years, talking experience here. I have got a -1.5 cylindrical in ine eye still I find the lights of verna adequate. To sum it up, people shoukd experience themselves first than watching videos like drag races, maintainance, issue's and forming opinions. I personally cannot go to service centre once a month to get issues fixed which is happening with couple of cars here. I want to invest my 15+L in a place where I can find peace of mind. No doubt they have got the best handling and a peppier tc/turbo combination but overall, verna scores. Rest all 4 are a captains of their own teams and will surely revive the segment.

There are no mechanical changes in City Facelift so there is no point that City's cornering ability is dulled or not but we can say that the driver in the city has dull driving skills.. In City vs Creta handling test video,The Diesel City didn't clipped off the cone even at 75 kmph Also Stopping distance in the City was less in last comparison video..there was a black patch and City stopped before the black patch and other two were stopped after that.. These tests are done by humans so can believe it 100% Unless it will be done by robots

It's because of the tyres not coz they were biased Verna went through oversteer, virtus and all others went through understeer that's the difference. Also everyone says handling is better in Germans coz look at the movement inside to pull that off Verna had a extreme body roll but Germans were stable so ones more confident in it.

I have a virtus gt. Test drove the verna yesterday. Found the suspension to be softer and steering feedback to be a bit vague. But overall excellent car and sure will put a smile on your face. My suggestion would still be to go for virtus if your budget allows it. Because ADAS is the primary difference between the two and it’s not a useful feature in Indian road conditions.

@@cannotthinkofoneatth I think if you're not an enthusiasts, Verna will do just fine. I have driven a lot of hyundai cars and this one is significantly better. If your driving involves alot of city driving (like to office and inter-city travelling) you wont have an issue with verna. You cannot practically use performance cars in india anyway. So if you want to buy a primary vehicle i would still say go for verna as its very future proof in terms of feature and availability of service and all but if you want a secondary vehicle then a more fun car won't hurt!

This comparison is not accurate, in my opinion. Considerations such as boot space, ground clearance, safety factors - virtus and salvia 5 star GNCAP, laser-welded joints, platform design , painting quality , sturdiness at high speed and sleek and clean design must be taken in to account for scoring .. Test of cornering depends on the driver as well . In the video, it appears that the Verna car turned sharply to handle the lines. Both would have won if the driver had treated Virtus and Salvia equally. I would suggest everyone to go to a showroom, look at everything personally take a test drive, and make up your own decisions… 😊

Turn off the ESC when doing handling test. Vernas 70 kmph is ineffect may be 50 or 60 because of ESC.

Dude, we all know VW fans are all about tuning😂 whenever you buy a VW you think about tuning the car at some point😅😂 it is looking very good in tuning world as the 1 L TSI is already making 155 HP and 253 nm torque with a stage 2 tune as Code6 have cracked the ECU for 1 L and working on 1.5 L as well where the potential is said to be 280 HP on strong tune and 200 hp on a mild tune, as the engine is very strongly built and can take the amount of power without changing the internals. and the only limiting factor is DSG DQ 200 which can be easily neglected or even swap with DQ to 250 due to abundant availability, also there is a new manual transmission 1.5 L version and the slavia already has a 1.5 with manual transmission, granted the manual cars will get that unit because DQ 200 gearbox will only take 250 Newton meters of torque. and that is why VW introduced virtus gt in manual transmission now(at least that's my guess)😂😂 So talking about handling this test is not perfect because Hyundai's always come with Bridgestone tires, which are very good, VW comes with MRF Ecotread what Apollos both are shit tires😅 Put the cars on same tires like Yokohama or Bridgestone, and then we can see the competition between these cars, that will be a fair test.

What people don’t understand is that. The Verna’s ESC cuts in much harder than the Virtus’. So at 70kph entry speed the Verna’s ESC kills off the excess speed and allows it to hold its line, however this ruins the exit speed and effectively yields poorer handling. In the video you can clearly see it brush of so much speed that it’s line is narrower in the 70kph vs 65kph run. However, since these aren’t “sports” cars, the aggressive ESC makes the Verna a little safer :) Suggestion for @ZigWheels - maybe you guys can measure the exit speed after the bend

Both Honda (AGA) and VAG (XDS) claim to have technology which mimic LSD in the front wheels to corner better. However they underperform to a car with vanilla front wheel drive setup without real or fake LSD. So, VW fans should be asking whether XDR worth the extra brake wear and tear or just let the car corner the normal way for better brake life. But they blame the driver lol.

Where is the shot showing the full line taken by the car, from entry to the exit of a corner. That shot from above showing entering into the corner and going to the middle of the corner (slavia) is what proves the credibility of this test. Without showing the car entering a corner why should i believe anything, all you are showing is a car which has all already turned in and is coming out of the corner.

The driver is inconsistent with his entry points hence the difference. Pause the verna video and see where the tyre entry point is. Driver got it clean with Verna and with all other cars he misses his entry line by significant margin. These are not performance cars by any margin and the driver is no racing driver.
