5:24 Back before the Early 3DS days, we had these things called Instruction Booklets. They explain Controls, Story, items, in very good detail. Sometimes Extra interactive stuff like smelling pizza or solving a puzzle then putting that answer in the game. Story Summary : Medusa invaded Angel Land(SkyWorld), turned all other angels to stone, imprisoned Palutena in her own temple and captured Pit and put him in timeout in the underworld. 6:03 A Mario Game or two tends to have some Ice Physics. The Bosses you fought had their sprites shown in Uprising. 22:22 And Strength, also Strength. 22:50 There was also a Special Edition of Kid Icarus on that menu that gave you the best ending. But typing it in also works to. 23:15 Weirdly enough, it takes about 5 minutes to reach the final boss to. "I'm sure that 5 minute timer won't be used in the future."

Man, this was like the first game I ever played as a small child. I didn't like it as I couldn't even get past the first level, but I was an inexperienced gamer at the time. I definitely want to try this game again now. It seems difficult but not impossible like NES Metroid (made by the same developers). A lot of NES games were no joke in terms of difficulty. I would love to see a new Kid Icarus game, though, even if it is merely a remake or remaster.

Context: it’s called Angel Land Story because, in the first couple of games and in the Japanese version, Skyworld is called Angel Land. In Brawl and later Ultimate, Otocon even refers to it as Angel Land in the codex Easter Eggs.

AY HOLD TF UP As a Lucas Main, I absolutely 100% have played Mother 3. At least 3 times in fact. I've even played the only rom hack of the game that replaces Lucas with Claus.

Beat it on 3DS many years ago. Such a unique experience. I’ve never played an NES game where it’s hardest at first, and then it builds up Pit to be a powerhouse near the end. 😊

I'm glad you played the original, now all that's left is the game boy one. (I forgot the name) I wish Nintendo would revive some of these series like kid Icarus, f-zero, Mother and so forth they have a lot of fans. (like me with mother) One more thing, I beat Mother 3 on an emulator I got on my phone. I can say with pride I'm a REAL Lucas main.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is my favorite game overall, alongside Smash Ultimate. Helped me get through a hard year and many more. The original Kid Icarus was one of the first NES games we had, and I spent a long time playing it, but never beat it until just a few years ago.

Ah, the original Kid Icarus. I remember trying it out back in 2008 after starting to play Pit in Smash Bros Brawl. One of the earliest Virtual Console games I got on my Wii. Though it took me to the 3DS version to actually finish it. I was wondering if the fact that you played the 3DS version, with its auto fire and ability to slow Pit's jump, would mess you up when going back to the original.

I recently played the original Kid Icarus as well, abusing Rewind of course because holy hell haha it's one of those games that start impossibly hard and gets easier as time goes on because you get more hp, more strength, more weapons (plus World 2 being a side scroller is easier than World 1 being vertical). I farmed a lot right next to the shop in the first Dungeon to buy a lot of stuff. Glad I played it but I don't think I'll be replaying it ever lol. (Side note: another classic game I have played literally last week was the original Shantae for the Game Boy Color. Excellent game for a Game Boy Color title. Would recommend)
