Oh, den ganzen Tag habe ich schon immer meinen KZbin Feed aktualisiert auf der Suche nach dem ersten Content zur Biennale. Der Eindruck im zentralen Pavillon ähnlich wie 2022: die fokusierende Auswahl tut der Biennale zumindest nicht schlecht. Was mir auffällt ist das Licht des Südens. Nicht von ungefähr sind ja auch in Europa die Künstler immer dem Licht nachgereist, der globale Süden bietet das natürlich im Überfluß. Auch die Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts nochmal in frischen unbekannten Werken gespiegelt zu sehen wird spannend, v.a. mit der zusätzlichen Brechung der außereuropäischen Erfahrungsebenen. Mitte Mai, wenn der erste Rummel vorbei ist, werde ich mir 4 Wochen Zeit nehmen so viel wie möglich von der diesjährigen Biennale di Arte mitzuerleben.

Yes, it's Aloïse Blanche Corbaz (1886-1964). Aloïse was a Swiss outsider artist included in Jean Dubuffet's initial collection of psychiatric art.

You do know that the art in this video from the Venice Biennale is only one pavilion/exhibit space out of dozens? It's not indicative of all the other works/areas of the show...
