I feel like bcz vernon doesn't talk abt his inner feelings and expressions a lot people don't take him to be a really morally sort and inspiring person. But vernon has such beautiful look out on life and people he deserves all the love in the world. The first clip literally broke me like in such a small age he felt being an outcast, but still his upbringing is so great that he now has such optimistic and positive outlook on life. apologizing in advance for whatever ramble i'm about to go on because i always have a lot of thoughts when it comes to vernon (even though hoshi is my bias, vernon is a very very close second) i joke with my non-kpop friends about vernon being gorgeous (because he is, i think we all know that--even if he's not someone's specific type, it's hard to deny that he isn't gorgeous), but i honestly think vernon is like... the person who /gets it/ the most. i'm still a new carat so i'm learning a lot about the guys as i listen to more svt content and continue to follow them, so idk how correct i am about literally any of this but. vernon feels like someone who has hurt before and wants to both help people feel less pain or at least let them know they aren't alone in that? like... i know something about him either dropping out or going to homeschooling + not really having friends (based off his verse in trauma i believe but absolutely correct me if i'm wrong), and i get it. i grew up lonely, too. it's a certain kind of pain that you don't shake off easy. plus there's everything he's experienced due to looking more western, which definitely had an impact on him as well. he's a very strong person from what i can tell because of the things he's faced and i'm always glad to see when he has moments like those shown in the video where he talks about essentially not categorizing happiness based off how big or small it is, or things like not molding yourself to other people's beauty standards. i think it's very easy to write vernon off as someone who is introverted or someone who's very pretty, but idk. he's both of those things, but he's also always been one of the funniest members imo (but it doesn't help that the entire group feels like they're comedians sometimes--vernon's jokes have always made me laugh even when others didn't), and i love seeing the appreciation for him as a very introspective person. i think i've said it before, whether on another video or in messages w my friends, that i think vernon is the member i'd want to sit down with for like... an hour or so and just talk--not as a idol to a fan, but like... just as people. just talk about life. it might end up being talking about random shit going on or whatever we see or just sharing cat videos, or he'll just drop some hard wisdom and i lose my shit. but idk, i think he's one of the most down to earn people i've ever seen. i've seen someone say that like... your bias is the person who's most like you or something? and while it hasn't been true in a lot of places, i think vernon is probably the person who fits into that mold the most. tl;dr: vernon is so wise and funny and so so much more than just a pretty face, thank u for coming to my ted talk

Ngl first time, his visuals n powerful stage presence drew me in, second his cool laid back personality, and until now it' has been his UNIQUE genuine personality -- i may not know the exact word to describe him yet, but it just felt like he's so raw. The world and it's mean mannerisms cldnt taint vernon's real, innocent and pure and all the goods in him. He's carefree , most of the time in his own world, but at the same time thoughtful of the one's who makes up his world, like he' said he's has his own way of appreciating his people..n so it is...all in all he's truly HIMSELF. Ok rant time : Contrary to other stories his visuals weren't what actually drew me in😅, I generally looked at the group and thought 'wow they're all so gorgeous tf'. But I do remember when I was still starting to stan kpop and this was a good 5-6 years back, Bobby from ikon had caught my eye and I loved his underground rap battles in show me the money. And it's also where I first came to know about vernon and his raps were, well , I mean, I didn't prefer his flow and was cringing throughout😂😅. My friend mentioned that he was part of seventeen and I told myself it wasn't worth to check them out over it then. Ik, a dumb move but it did happen and that's how I ended up sleeping on seventeen for the next few years. I knew vernon from seventeen as the kid who blew his raps( it hurts to even write this, cuz he spits bars like a true natural these days) and avoided all videos which had him or seventeen( hey I was young xd). And then I found seventeen again recently (through some crack video lmao) was flipping through their mv's. Trauma was one rec I found and the first rap verse itself was by Hansol. His lyrics totally got to me, I could relate to some of his troubles having faced alienation of a similar sort when I was much younger. And I was just like who tf is this guy, how did he completely slip my radar etc etc. Imagine my absolute shock when I made the connection 😂😂😂. I went into this deeeeep rabbit hole, watching videos and his vibe was so completely different from that awkward kid back then. He had grown tf up, had honed his skills and had a persevering dedication to his craft. He also has his own personal style, what with the rainbow tie-dye , the standard issue beanie 😂. But he doesn't look like he cares for how many people like him or how many fans it's draws and it's rare to see idols or even people who are comfortable in their own skin. There are other artists and performers who have had their stories about learning from failures and succeeding, but maybe it's because his story hit home so hard that he just simply stood out to me and has ever since. There's often a lot of talk in the comment sections about how he's not appreciated enough, but I've also noticed that those who really like him as an artist have understood what he wants to communicate in his music and that could be amazing enough for him.❤️❤️
