@@discipleoftheLordJesusChrist that’s the Holy Spirit in you, not your flesh, it will sin, it is not redeemed. Reason why Jesus will give us a new body, sinless, not affected by the parasite of sin.

So if we cannot grieve Him away, why then did God say of those children of Israel that he sware in his wrath that they would not enter into his rest? If God becomes our enemy, I have to wonder if there is a way back to Him. I have always understood the quoted scripture to mean “and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed…” that it means that SINCE we are sealed by Him, we are not to grieve Him. That BECAUSE our hope is only sealed through the Spirit, that we should not grieve him, lest He should depart from us. Samson grieved the Holy Spirit by his sinning and his disobedience snd the scriptures say “he wist not that the Lord had departed from him”. It’s a fearsome thing here. We CAN sin and fall to the extent that we fight against Christ and lay him to an open shame. We need to be careful.
