Vernon Presley's house on Dolan is dedicated by Colin Paul at Elvis Week 2012

A friend of mine and another couple rented rooms there when this happened .They had a reception, Pricilla, Linda Thompson, some of the Stanley’s,and one of Elvis early girlfriends, Dixie Locke were there. We had a wonderful week there‼️‼️‼️

I really enjoyed seeing this. It was totally out of the norm. I have been an Elvis fan all my life. I've seen tens of thousands of different types of Elvis memorabilia but this is the first time to see this. I knew of the house and where it was located but never saw it. Thanks so much for sharing this with all the fans.

No unfortunately, I live in the UK. Cannot make it this time, I loved being there for Elvis week 2012. it was amazing and hope to do it again in the future, we are actually on this video when the camera moves into the visitors.

What was the guys name who unveiled the plaque? I couldn't quite catch it. It sounded like he said Bardel. I'm a huge Elvis fan and have never heard of this name.

Can anyone answer this question? I've been a Elvis fan 42 years and when Vernon married Dee in 1960 they didn't live here. And they didn't live at Graceland. Where did they live?

From another post on this page: They lived in another property on Hermitage Drive until this house was built. It was the house on Hermitage Drive where Priscilla stayed when she first moved to Memphis.

They first lived in the apartment at Graceland according to the Spa Guy interview with Billy Stanley and then when Vernon married Dee Stanley in 1960 they moved to the Dolan house. Vernon divorced Dee in 1977.

I was just here in May of 2016 and was shocked to see the condition of the house. The grass needs cut, the gate was open and no one lives there. I thought this home would be looked after by someone connected to the Estate. On Dolan Dr. there are many beautiful houses but this one is not looked after and it is not right.

I would assume that someone in the Presley family should be the owner, but with all the parasites that are now making a living off Elvis who the hell knows. I will find out one day.

I thought Vernon lived in the house behind Graceland? I guess not. But I love her. She has been there.

Vernon's moved into this house when he married the Stanley woman. It is situated on the street at the back of Graceland. There was a shortcut from his house through to Graceland. It is a shame that the property was sold and not kept as it was in 1978.

+John Steelman - The black lady at the end of video is Queen Elizabeth Weeden. Her mother worked with Gladys Presley at St Josephs. She is no relation to the Presleys.
