What a session Vern we'll done you. It's the first time I've seen you flustered when there where rigs and fish all over the show. Best 2 and half hours spent for a long time watching this one i felt knackered for yoy lol. Thoroughly enjoyed this video . Why would you not keep going back for more of the same. Always takes a day to recover must walk miles on a session. Yes chesil has no draw for me might fish it one day but not likely. With this river and the holderness coast I’d say it’s better than chesil in my view. Pleased you and others are enjoying videos at the same place means a lot. Got too much for me probably as I just wanted to sit down and couldn’t. Bites as soon as the weight settled. Got to stop chucking rigs on the floor dangerous. Superb session and you still walloping them there Cod out. Had a truly dire session at Withernsea on Sunday, cast first rod out and then was about to cast the second when I heard a bang, turned round and for a second thought my stand had blown over but then the rod tip started dragging along the beach....picked the rod up struck and it pulled right round and kept going but could do bugger all with it as it kept going slow and very hard......then the worst part the line snapped...the end eye had broken and sheared the line and I lost my fish of the year so far...was gutted, broken rod and no more bites all session. My mate had two small Turbot. Rod now fixed and back again this weekend but wish I had seen that fish lol

Mate you must be gutted I would be stomping around turning the air blue. Hope you have a better session next but you’ll never forget that. Could it have been a Tope this early in the year. Just what I think great mark I enjoy so I’m going there. Chuffed to bits learning so much there. The snagged codling was there for ages then started pulling line off. So glad that happened. That snagged codling was there for ages. Let loads of line out and knocked drag off then the reel took off. Had to reel in then turn camera on once beached. Great mark and good bait. My skills? Well they have improved at this mark learnt a lot but they need to be there to catch. All the best Adrian stay safe.

Another good watch Vern. I've had a few decent fish on my coast got proper snagged up. I tend to play out some line, cut it off and tie it to tripod, post or something. The fish will normally tend to swim out of the snag then just handline in. Plus you can stick another rig on and just carry on fishing with the rod. All the best mate.

Well done vern, you'll catch more in river than on the coast anyway, although I doubt the cod will be in the river for much longer now its getting warmer. And the thers a lot of bass getting caught now on the beach's aswel as rays and doggies. But just go where you enjoy it , if your not getting bored by going to the same place then it doesn't matter 👍🏻

I do still use them but not in the river. Have a set up for river with longer rods and big eyes to work better for me. On the beaches I use my Kenzaki rods and multipliers. My go to rods as I think they are great more than I can bend. You won’t go wrong buying them.
