I had to organise my own referral and treatment for a hip replacement because my GP Surgery either could not be bothered or forgot to do anything for over a year. When asked for the name of my GP, I can only say I do not have one. The strange thing is once I saw a specialist the whole thing went smoothly and I will receive my operation on the 19th August. At the same time, my wife did not receive any treatment for a life threatening condition. Sod them all.

I agree with nhs rants 100%. Other thing is the doctors always seem less than half full . Truth of it is , we all want to live forever without the pain and suffering . I had a banging ear infection in both ears during covid , it was a killer . Only lasted 3wk ish ,but it left me quite deaf and tinnitus got louder , which can send you loopy .

Hi Vern, enjoyed the rant on my second viewing and agreed with all you said regarding the NHS, it's not in the governments interest to look after your health, the more of us that see past 66yrs of age the more they have to pay back you in pensions for your hard earned national insurance contributions throughout your working life, the country is fucked, one of the reasons why we sold up and moved out of there, it was pretty bad in 2005, it's totally shagged now.
