My daughter worked on Six Feet Under with Veronica. The first scene she was in was a funeral scene and Veronica was crying. My daughter was 10 and couldn’t believe how amazing she was. They had to film that scene a few times and Veronica never missed a beat. She was also very sweet and kind to work with. Amazing actress.

Love this woman! And what a great career, almost iconic when you consider her roles in two of the greatest horror movies ever made. Someone here mentioned having to watch “The Birds” again because they didn’t recall her being in it?!! Wow, for me she left an indelible impression! Very good interviewer. I absolutely love the fact that Jack Nicholson cited that Veronica Cartwright was the fourth witch. That gives the Witches of Eastwick, a whole new dimension. And makes perfect sense in connection with the book by John Updike, there was a fourth witch, it happened to be the daughter of Clyde and Felicia. Her name was Jenny. And even though the fate of Felicia is somewhat similar in the movie and the book, Jenny is killed by the witches in the book (out of jealousy over Darryl). But I love that it gives Felicia as a character, a lot more depth than just being an unhappy woman-puritan, possibly grappling with her power, and was trying to save humanity. ❤

She has been in so many iconic movies and TV shows. I always laughed at her playing Jacks Mum on Will and Grace. She is naturally funny and should have pursued more comedic roles. I am definitely going to re watch The Birds ... I can't recall her being in it. Thanks for this great interview.
