I am not a Muslim but I have a story back in the mid 1990s my mother lived in an apartment and right above her was a lovely Muslim family and we were all having dinner together on the 4th of July I am American and the husband had some sort of attack and he passed out ends up to be a brain aneurysm and that night he became a paraplegic. This Muslim woman wanted to care for her husband instead of have him live in a home so she brought him home and my mother and I were amazed at all of the Muslim women that came by to cook for the family and bring groceries and clothes and to come and watch the husband, take the children to school, babysit so that she could have a break, there was so much support within the Muslim community especially among the women it really was beautiful. My mother was very close to this woman they had been friends for several years before this happened. The Muslim woman said she didn't even know personally all the the kind women helping her but they were all pulling together when one of them is in need. And my mother said that she had never seen such tender love between a couple in her life this Muslim woman loves her husband so much she would massage his head and pick him up so that he could see everything so he never had to be left out of any of his children's experiences and she was also very impressed by their treatment of each other. The woman was constantly thinking of what here husband might need though her could not talk or communicate in any way. Since that time in the 90s I have always had so much respect for the Muslim faith and community. Love to all...everyone.

Not a Muslim. But recently we have hit hard times and most food banks here are Christian oriented which required a letter from a bishop/pastor/priest to access 🫠 i am not a Christian. I had to drive an hour away but thr Muslim food bank simply asked "how many adults? How many children? How old are the kids? Ok! Here you go!" And handed me a few boxes worth of food and occasionally they offer hot food to take. I was so happy and thankful i volunteered at the islamic center as a way to show my thanks. They are the kindest people i know.

This is one reason muslim women wear hijab. Muslim ppl believe it is protection for society/woman. As they cover their beauty it makes it more important for them to develop their personality, morals and intellect, to be defined by. This makes them pleasant to talk to and hold real conversations around shared values, beliefs and long-term life goals that are also deep and transcend in nature. It prevents ppl getting arrogant and getting a superiority complex based on superficial trates. Keeps ppl down to earth, modesty. Trys to prevent self entitlement and Princess complex. It trys to prevent the commercialisation/weaponising of "beauty", by it not being a publicly displayed and traded commodity/currency. Trys to give women a break from having to compete with each other on just beauty, in open public. That can cause feelings of jealousy. Helps to try to prevent an army of simps and street pestering. As her beauty is for HER and the special people SHE chooses in her life. Helps to try to prevent insecurities trying to maintain unrealistic and unsustainable beauty standards, that are forever changing and expensive to uphold. This can cause mental issues in people and the sense of constant judgement and body shaming from people that don't know you or care about your long-term good.

You will be able to fast the whole month of ramadan. That should take a few kilos off. Oh! I forgot you are allowed to start pigging out after sunset until sunrise to get you through the following day of fasting. Most muslims put weight on during the wondrous time of ramadan so maybe my idea is not so good for you after all. As to you wearing the muslim dress to hide yourself from the world. I was raised Christian. I am now 41 and feeling heavily and emotionally pulled towards Islam. If yes, what would you say about Quran verses like Surah 23:5-6 (allowing Muslim men to have s*x not only with their wives but also with those they "possess") or Surah 2:282 (women's testimony is worth half that of a man) or Surah 4:34 (wives that a husband so much as _fears_ to be disobedient can be punished, even beaten) Even if you can choose to rationalize these verses, it's a bit strange to claim Islam is about Gender Equality or did more than other worldviews to strengthen women's rights.

@@annikadamaris8068 I believe in the authentic Hadith which are from sahih Muslim and sahih bukhari.. the scholars determine which Hadith are authentic based upon the verified chain of narrators.. the surah ably having sex with war captives was revealed after the early Muslims fought just wars where they were defending themselves.. of course, if they killed men on the opposite side, they’re women would be widowed… right have possessed is about war captives and the Muslim men would marry them before having sex with them.. study Islamic history and the life of the prophet, as well as the tafseer of the Quran.. as you know, men tend to not listen to women or believe what they say, so the surah about getting the testimony of two women is really about a woman backing up another woman so that she would be believed.. that was about the culture of those men during that time..the Arabic word dharaba used in the context of the verse about a woman who is not obeying her husband, that word means to separate.. not bear. If you read the entire ayah, Allah says that there are other things that a man must do before dharaba.. the verse after even tells the families from both sides to come together to help mediate both sides to help the couple stay together..

First of all I congratulate you for a new blessing from Allah. This is a blessing from your Allah and at the same time it is a test and training session from your Allah. So in this situation to stay modest I can suggest you can wear a loose dress over your body where you can carry your baby inside it. Also try to stay in your home till the breast feeding is lesser and you can feed your baby other foods as well. Hope I was able to give a good suggestion.

The denizens of Hell were commanded to get into Hell, and I stood upon the door of Fire and the majority amongst them who entered there was that of women." I'm about to turn 18 and i still live with my parents who are very against islam and say that muslims don't worship the same God they do and they don't like hijab and things like that.
