I thought in my pair, that the insole that comes with the shoe was a bit too long so I trimmed the top of the toe area a smidge to make them fit

Lots of people even don't know their correct shoe size. Versace fit true to size. If you are a man wearing a size 12 US, that's 45 EU/ IT (that's the Versace size).
