If you take lyrics from just one song, I could compare Black Sabbath to the Beatles. As for being on the same label, so is Panic! at the Disco, and they aren't the same. Drums can only do so much, there are a million bands who use the same drum loops. The reason that Versaemerge is totally different is because they use a very unique approach to chord progression. Almost all of their songs have a similar transition from minor to major for their choruses that Paramore doesn't have.

@fueledbytara I understand that more than anyone. All I said was that I miss the old Versa. Before they got Sierra and in the beginning with Sierra this band was amazing. This band is from my town. I've seen them at every damn Swampgrass Willies show, which is this tiny, smelly bar with a stage as big as my kitchen. At the West Palm Beach warped date last year I was barrier front and center singing along with Sierra. I didn't even comment on the quality of their new songs in that post.
