Question: I notice that you have a small city backpack when you approach the palace and also in the gardens. Were you allowed to carry the backpack while in the palace, or were you required to leave it at a bag check while there?

I put my backpack in a locker inside the palace, but in the gardens it is fine to have it with)

Julie Hayne . Tous les visiteurs qui entrent au château de Versailles , à l’entrée , chaque sac ou sac à dos doivent passer aux rayons X afin de savoir s’ils ne contiennent pas des objets suspects . C’est la même chose si vous allez visiter le musée du Louvre .
