In April 2024 Gossamer released a redesign of this pack and among other changes, it got load lifters, unlike the one shown in this video. Also includes a revised frame system and a new back pad. And there's new options for hip belts, including a curved one..

They sure did! We hope to test one of the new models (which is now also made of recycled materials) soon!

Great review thank you! Just boggles me how most of these UL bags don’t have load lifters. Usually one or the other with a hip belt or lifters. I’d love both!

Great video, Alicia. I had an Osprey Atmos 50, and also wanted to cut some weight. I considered the Gorilla, but ultimately went frameless with the sub-2 pound Waymark Thru 40 with padded hip belt. Super comfy carrying 25 pounds. Keep up the good work. 👍❤️

Great review! I am just curious though: never seen this pack in black color till now. Did you get a limited piece for this review, or is my phone just bad at recognising colors? 🤪

Haha! It's just the grey version.

When 'hard-earned' money is not involved, I don't trust a review's credibility.

Brands do supply us with gear to test and review, but they don't pay us and have no say whatsoever in what we have to say about the products. What we say about the gear is what we think about the gear after testing the gear.
