My guess is that the Chronicled Wish banner is to be able to 'retire' older characters and their weapons so that Hoyo doesn't have to run them as limited banners anymore, making space for the new characters. I think this is a really good way of going about making older characters available.

Here is how the “Chronicled banner” works (from Genshin official in HoYoLAB): It’s like the weapon banner where you have to choose a character or weapon first: if you don’t get the character that you chose, you gain 1fate point and you only need 1 of those to guarantee your character or weapon of choice for next pulls (instead of 2 fate points like the weapon banner). You can build pity and it will be maintained/preserved for the next “chronicled wish banner” (which will come from time to time) but your fate points will be reset every time the banner changes. Also, if you choose a character, you can only lose your 50/50 to characters (same if you choose to pull for weapons). The characters on this banner have to have appeared at least 3 times in banners and not have gotten a recent rerun ( I think it’s at least 5 patches knowing Eula and Klee are there). So it might be hard at the moment to have another of these banners soon without at least 3 characters that meet those requirements.

If you would be equally satisfied with either featured 5* weapon on weapon banner, it will *always* be better than this one. If you only want to gun for a single weapon or you're looking for a specific standard weapon, this new banner will usually be better _provided that you save your primogems for the guarantee_ and aren't just gambling/building pity. While the weapon banner's fate points reset every 3 weeks, the 75/25 record does *not* reset! The weapon banner is much less of a scam than most people think but you have to be smart about how you spend your primogems. This banner is more fair but also more expensive. Remember that hard pity on the character banner is 90 (10 for 4*s) and soft pity is 74 (9 for 4*s), while hard pity on the weapon banner is 80 (9 for 4*s) and soft pity is 64 (8 for 4*s). Weapons give you fewer starglitter overall in return than repeat characters do, so it makes sense that their pull rates are higher and their pity count lower, but this banner makes weapons just as expensive to pull as characters. Plus the 50/50 will reset every time the banner changes. That does not mean this banner is not worth it! But it's important to be aware of the tradeoffs. Save your primogems, and only pull when you have enough for a guarantee. You can't get shafted if you come into it prepared.

Wow, Sucrose's VA real voice is so different from her acting. She reminds me of many VAs from Brazil that became popular for their talent of working with voice Like Wendel Bezerra who managed to do the brazilian Sponge Bob AND Goku from Dragon Ball Z. Summary! Codes: DAKTDBWTZTYR AT3BDSWTYBKD 5TKAUAWAGBJR Banners: First phase: Chiori, Itto Second phase: Neuvillette, Kazuha New type of banner, Chronicled Wish. Requires intertwined fates. Characters: Eula, Mona, Albedo, Klee, Diluc, Jean and weapons. You can choose which 5 star you want. If you choose a 5 star character, you can only lose to a character and the same with weapons. Features 5 star characters who have had at least 3 banners and no recent reruns. Has one fate point, so basically works similarly to a regular 50/50, where if you lose the 50/50 you get a guarantee to get the 5 star you chose. However it doesn’t carry to the next banner. Some items in the banner may change over time, and characters that have been featured may still rerun Events: Alchemical Ascension (free polearm) Feline Fortress Furrdessy (YOU CAN INTERACT WITH THE CATS!!!!) A little birdie let us know Even without help from high places, the precedent of characters feeling incomplete at c0 has been established Neuvillette wants c1 to work with furina, wriothesley wants c1 to unlock his charge attack for real, dehya wants her c1 so she doesnt have to choose between support or sub dps, yelan and xianyun's c1 allow them to run much more damage instead of ER when you have two ability charges My case is strongest with neuvillette and dehya, the rest are moreso personal opinion chiori will be much like neuvillette in that they need their c1 in order to pick their favorite dance partners navia and furina, respectively

Everyone never wish on Chronicles Wish if you don’t have more than 160 WISHES. Your fate point doesn’t carried over into future patches. If you lose 50/50 on that you gain +1 fate point which guaranteed, But guess what? You ran out of wishes. So be careful.

Friendly warning to be very cautious with the Chronicled wish. Moosashi has a quick video explaining why to be careful but in short, fate points do not carry over between versions and will automatically reset and cause you to lose your guarantee once the version changes or you manually switch character or weapon with your fate point. I honestly think its quite sucky that our hosts were not scripted to bring this up. Youll all find out one way or another but I'd like to comment this to warn at least some people.

I was really looking forward to the addition of a third banner, but learning that it will be using Intertwined fates like the other banners, I'm not sure about it anymore. If someone is trying for characters on the event banners and this new one, they're going to be shelling out hundreds. I get that that's the purpose of the game, to make people spend money, but I'm getting tired of spending the money and still not getting the characters I want.
