This was an absolutely fantastic video, and your pacing, editing, lighting, and presentation is all top notch. Best of all, though, there isn't some stupid thumbnail with a surprised face and annoying headline. Thank you for that. I must say, I am *not* a fan of bokeh that looks like a circle around the edge of the frame... but that's just a subjective thing that I will have to live with. Looks like a winner of a lens.

I've owned this for a week and couple kids baseball games under my belt. Amazed with how few out of focus shots on my a7r3...like 1 out of 400. It's so snappy and easy to use.

@1:52 the GM1 is sharper! @2:17 so if you are focused at 40cm and 70mm you need to walk backwards 42cm to keep focus when zooming in to 200mm. @1:55 The close focus CA on the GM1 can be reduced by stopping the lens down, which most people would do by default when shooting so close, to get more in focus. @3:05 the GM1 is Parfocal.

Currently using a Nikon version of the 70-200 2.8 with my cropped apsc dslr (Mark I & II). Thinking of switching to mirrorless and aiming for Sony. Unfortunately price for Mark 2 Sony is about RM 10K and Mark 1 is over RM 7K. Should I save a little bit more & go for Sony Mark 2 or Mark 1 is good enough? Also aiming to pair it with A74. Just in case, I'm just a hobbyist & carrying my Nikon dslr & 70-200 2.8 Mark 2 almost everywhere on daily basis for street photos. Been using Mark 1 since 2008.

The Mark II is noticeably lighter - if you’ll be carrying it around often I’d recommend dashing straight for the Mark II 😉

Is this a fine lens for product photography? I have Sony 90mm 2.8 macro lens for my small business. If I sell it and buy this lens, would it be a nice decision? My basic motivation is to have a lens that I can use for both product photography and travel/vlog videos. If I do not sell 90mm, I have to but at least one another lens for my hobbies. Rather having two different lenses (90mm + a zoom lens), should I have only this (70-200mm) lens for my purposes (product photography + travel/vlog videos)?
