In my Fourth Versus Matchup I will be comparing two Shapeshifting monsters to see which one would come out on top.

Alex for the win he is way more focused and tactical and has a few more special ability's and he is way more durable because I have never heard of Carnage surviving a Nuclear Blast.

Carnage survived a bomb with enough power to wipe out all of humanity while quite literally being wrapped around it. Alex's nuke feat is very impressive but it doesn't compare to a bomb that could take out all of humanity.

@@rane932 that bomb was more of of gene bomb that a planet nuke, and what I mean is that the bomb was set to specifically target normal human genes, and the explosion itself was likely just to send the anti-human wave all across the world.

Okay, I agree with this completely. I do have one thought that could bring this to a different ending, in sheer power Carnage has it, but is Carnage’s will enough to control the virus? Or could the virus slowly eat away both at his mind and biomass? Less a verses question, more a question of how these 2 entities would react to each other on a fundamental level.

Alex would own. In Prototype 2 he casually one armed a tank. A tank can weigh anywhere from 60-100 tons. Also Carnage cannot absorb Mercer because he is a virus. But Mercer could absorb Carnage. In Comics Mercer was absorbing people on contact, meaning all he has to do is touch them.

@@Sheeshy_bucket Carnage manhandling Spider-Man and even being able to face both him and venom is impressive but that’s something that Alex can do easily. On a further note his healing by Prototype 2 became advance to where he can regenerate limbs in seconds, Alex as only beaten by Elizabeth Greene was because he was still adapting to his new abilities. While his engagement with the Blavkwatch Agent was due to him not having his armor and becoming disorientated. His first real engagement with James Heller was due to Alex underestimating him thinking that he was weak and not expecting him to counter his consumption. Furthermore carnage is dangerous but Alex won’t keep trying attacks that will backfire over and over.

@@winter_ghost185 and then we can account for Mercer's weightclass, he weighs hundreds if not thousands of tons and puts a lot of that into the hammerfists, which means we know he can support at least hundreds of tons, and throw that much with ease (something also supported by the fact that he can throw tanks which weigh about 60-100 tons and he throws them over great distances, with ease and without using muscle mass to boost his strength) And in prototype 2 we find out he can tank this stuff with ease as well, without armor too. Carnage gets blown out of the water.

While i don't disagree with the outcome, I would like to point out that endgame, maxed mutation Alex can pick up and throw tanks with ease, as well as shatter them with one Hammerfall or Sword drop. He also has a toggled ability to ignore all projectile attacks from all guns, which coincides with the description of his abilities in the Prototype comics, when his biomass has to be destroyed by in such a way that it renders the biomass unusable by breaking it down farther than it can be repaired by the virus, ie fire, electricity, explosives, or acid. Carnage would still win rather one-sidedly, but it would have to be by absorbing Alex as a whole or exploiting one of the above mentioned weaknesses.

you underestimate the ease of use of biomass for alex he can use it far more effectivly also you overestimate carnages damage all blunt force would be useless on alex and all cutting slashing and percing attacks dont actually destroy anything of alex carnage might be able to consume alex but even then it wouldnt even be all of him even if he did alex is evolved in the direction of being very difficult to consume and the only way to comsume him would be to do what heller did but that was set up by mercer and might have just been a clone you overestimate alex's need for biomass

Alex also has amazing reaction speed, has his full body shield, he can lift and throw tanks. Yes carnage can regenerate but not as fast as you think, didn't it take the Symbiote a few years to regenerate its hosts bottom half? Not to mention that under the symbiote is a human, meaning if alex wanted to he could find out its weakness (for instance sonic noises like a church bell) he could get the symbiote off and absorb the human. and alex can also dodge tank shells at point blank range. and im pretty sure carnage would be confused af if he realized nothing was running away from him but instead just going at him to eat him. Also! Alex's power is able to cover an entire city, like at the end of Prototype 2, when James consumed alex a bunch of tendrils shot out, killing every single infected in the entire city. yes carnage may be strong but alex would learn incredibly fast since hes one of the smartest beings on earth.

@@The_Misanthropic_Magpie actually mercer has higher adaptive combat then carnage thus having a physical fight with either mercer winning or endless as long as mercer is in a city with biomass he wouldnt die easily anyway the real way the fight end tho is when carnage trys to fight a battle of consuming all prototype infected are based on the idea that they will fight mercer because they are designed by green as such they are designed to be nearly impossable to be consumed heller is mutated even further with this factor in mind a random symbiote trying to jump in on the infected and they will start to evolve based on him if he consumes infected he would become apart of the network for alex get infromation especially on such a simmilar but different bio-organism as a peak expert in biology he can get a lot of gains before they even fight and maybe even make a bloodtox for the symbiote
