7:56 The Wilhelm scream is known by that name because it was the name of the character who was first to die while appearing to utter it. Private Wilhelm dies screaming in a river during Distant Drums from 1951. Some quite interesting factoids; It occurs twice in the Crazy 88's fight scene in Kill Bill 1, but the record goes to the Lego Movie-Ninjago, which has 7 Wilhelm screams in 15 seconds. All in the same scene, too. Using the phrase 'overkill' could be considered an understatement as well as accurate in this case.

Also, in the famous shower-murder scene in Psycho there were no actual shots of violence. Never once is there a shot of the knife stabbing her... It's all implied.

Steve sure has an unusual movie taste, between counting the number of cuts in the Psycho shower scene - and his huge love of Magnum Force! (the genre-tastic Dirty Harry sequel - from 1972? .....Not the films you'd imagine with him)

Psycho shower scene CANNOT have more camera angles than cuts. It’s impossible. Each cut is of ONE camera angle or setup. Unless someone is counting pans or tilts as multiple angles. Think of it as seventy-five wines in fifty-seven bottles. Cut to him, cut to her, cut to him would be three cuts but maybe only two angles.

I suspect he read out the numbers the wrong way around and it got missed by the production team. I will definitely count when I'm in the mood😂

I agree Stephen must have got it wrong if he means more shown camera angles than cuts. For why, just cite the pigeon-hole principle. Those pigeons are everywhere.

But if a camera pans and tilts does that not create a different angle of view...? 🤔

People who want to sell them birdseed? More seriously, they were probably researching pidgeons' eyes in general and happened upon that fact.

That was not Hepburn. She did use a mid-Atlantic accent, and its hallmark was that the American r’s were not pronounced; it sounded like a posh English accent.
