fantastic! the carving part looks really great, and the use of pyrography adds a great dimension and allows for greater versatility in your pieces. thats something i can see opening greater vistas of creativity into your art.

you make it look too easy! Amazing work =) I tried my second bowl with the arbortech yesterday, and have a huge Ash log, plus some bits of Yew to attack when the weather is better. Was that a Silver Birch log out of curiosity

Go for it! Just be careful, chainsaws can be fatal if caught unaware. I usually work in green wood, or wood not much older than 1 year (this log). Wood dries extremely slow, and it would take 5 years min. for wood this size to dry. I of coarse can't wait for that. I minimize cracks by taking out the corewood if possible, and take some minor cracking for granted (it's a living material after all).

Outstanding as always but damn, chainsaws are dangerous. Someday you and I will have a carve-off and see who can do the best work. How did you beat the music sensors? Chris

Pozdravljeni mene pa zanima kaj uporabljate za končni premaz olje ali kakšen lak.

Thx mate! And I failed to beat them in this video actually, it pops up after 10 secs. I succeeded in the Buddha video. You have to alter a music file in such a degree that it won't be recognized. Change he pitch or speed by at least 6%, and have it still sound kinda ok..

Great carving but you should wear hearing and glove protection. Good job would like to carve with you some day.

Why thank you sir. :) I am still looking for proper gloves that dampen vibrations, yet allow me to effortlessly grab (sticky rubber) the handle bars, AND don't become slippery when they come into contact with chain oil... I have professional earplugs in by the way, they dampen to 36dB.
