Get ready to be amazed as you watch the Boeing 777X perform a shocking, almost vertical takeoff during an airshow flying display at Farnborough 2022. This footage was captured from multiple angles, including 3 different cameras, giving you a complete view of the incredible moment. The powerful GE9X engines propel the aircraft upward, leaving onlookers speechless and in awe of the aircraft's capabilities. This video showcases the future of aviation technology and gives an in-depth look at the power and capabilities of the Boeing 777X. Don't miss your chance to witness the aircraft's jaw-dropping takeoff from every angle !
The Boeing 777X is the latest series of the long-range, wide-body, twin-engine jetliners in the Boeing 777 family from Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
The 777X features new GE9X engines, new composite wings with folding wingtips, greater cabin width and seating capacity, and technologies from the Boeing 787.
The General Electric GE9X is a high-bypass turbofan developed by GE Aviation exclusively for the Boeing 777X. It first ran on the ground in April 2016 and first flew on March 13, 2018; it powered the 777-9's maiden flight in early 2020.

@Xarifa Zee it has a max takeoff weight of 759,000 lbs. it was designed to support that much weight. what the heck are you talking about it being empty for? like its not close to 1 million lbs of usable payload on that airframe (which, yes, the engine mounts are in fact very impressive to handle the 110,000 lbs of force EACH at full throttle) thats a LOT of force on those wings.

I've always loved this plane. When I was in high school I loved it because it was Boeing's first plane designed fully in CAD, and I was taking a CAD class which I thought was so cool. I've flown on it many times, and will never forget the sports car-like feeling of acceleration when the pilots opened up those GE GenX engines on the runway. The plane would press you into your seat. On one flight our captain informed us he was going to burn a little more fuel to make up for lost time on the ground, and get us there on time. That, plus a tailwind, was the fastest I'd gone in my life at speeds in the 600s (MPH), as reported within the cabin. What an amazing marvel of a machine.

The plane loses velocity during the steep part so the pilots will have to timely bring it back to near horizontal flight to speed back up, as is visible in the vidoes here; no doubt that type of takeoff can be automated, this plane most likely is equipped for that because it went just perfect.

I use to work at philaadelphia airport for UPS & use to be scared to get on an airplane because UPS planes would do this to speed up the flight if they were running late.

Well spotted ! That bird was far away from an aircraft. If that tiny bird will rest on Boeing 777X you will never see it. Compare it to Boeing 777X its like a drop in the ocean.

Great shots from multiple angles. I saw one angle of its almost vertical takeoff perhaps a couple years ago. But providing multiple angles, especially the side view, substantiates that its's not an optical illusion caused by parallax.

How would it cope with a sudden tail wind at this altitude and angle? It’s impressive that it didn’t seem to loose height in this demonstration as it levelled out but it did appear to loose air speed indicating to me that this manoeuvre was near its limitations.
@topfelya

I hope some one or professional pilot will answer your question here. The only I could say is those pilots are Boeing's best test pilots and they don't risk. Basically they calculated everything prior to this stunning takeoff.

Incredible ! Not only the engines but the entire airframe has to be very strong to take a stress like that.

The stress on the airframe from this maneuver is nothing next to what it would experience in turbulence, especially since it is very lightly loaded.
