Harmony Korine interviews are always great and inspiring

The liquid narrative was so perfect...to explain he will have a scene...someone is talking and we see their lips moving...then on the next cut, even though it seems like a continuation of that conversation, their lips don't move or something else is happening...but their still talking...and the scene changes but the conversation is still going, and before you realize it, your already in the next scene. But before you get too comfortable here, your now back in that previous scene...but now it's different...something has happened since then. You know now, something that you didn't before, when listening to this conversation.

French New Wave film if I've ever seen it. Such a good, and unfortunately misunderstood film. Surreal feel, lack of unnecessary exposition and character background, focus on the minute, unconventional use of cinematography, editing. It's about following the experience and the aesthetic, not about storytelling in a classical sense. I wonder what Jean Luc Godard thinks of Spring Breakers?

Michael Broder yeah, I was wondering about that myself. When I see him next I will ask him about that. Maybe I can help you with a answer.

What is hyper violence or hyper sexuality?It's just one person's opinion verses another.All sex or violents exploits.Its all just a matter of degrees to one person or another.Harmony repeats himself alot about what his movies are and about but still reporters ask him the same questions expecting some Hollywood cookie cutter answer.Take some acid and explore the nature of self and reality and it's place in the universe.Then you will understand yourself,Harmony,Harmony's movies and the nature of existence.His movies are an experience,a moment,a flash of light behind a moving picture that captures the fleeting moment of existence we view as reality.Or perhaps their nothing.A clown thumbing it's red nose at commercialism trying to be art mimicing life.A slice of whatever.

I love it how he will dumb himself down or will enlighten.His answers and seriousness always depend on the intelligence of the interviewer and crowd.

Lies. Alien is Riff Raff.

Riff Raff is Alien.
@mofoshrimp3 жыл бұрын
Nah, he just dresses like Riff Raff. His personality is way more like Dangeruss. Riff Raff was never a hardcore wigger drug-dealer gang member. He was always a kind of prima donna nancy boy archetype. Alien is much more like Dangeruss, a hardcore entity from the streets who pushes weight and pops off at the slightest provocation. Riff Raff was more like Lady Gaga, all about image and painted nails and how he comes off to the camera. He never had an ounce of street cred. Alien / Dangeruss are more like Gucci Mane, all about that street cred.
