Amber is a fantasy note in perdumery. Don't confuse it with the tree amber. Ot's made from a combo of mostly labdanum and vanilla. Somethimes the perfumers add a note to it, but overall the note should be warm and somewhat pleasent at least.

I don’t have many amber centric fragrances but the amber fragrances that I do have… the amber is so rich and masculine smelling. Amber comes across warm and spicy to me. That being said I’m not the biggest on animalistic fragrances but the smoke note is very intriguing to me. Sounds very rugged, earthy, and dark.

This is the most natural amber based fragrance I’ve ever smelled. If you don’t like animalic fragrances than this will be off putting without a doubt.

@FragranceHunter oh nice. Curious as to the other two. I enjoy fresh orient and eau de cyan, but eau de cyan is pretty niche and likely polarizing.

I love Auramber, fragrancenet has insane prices on that house. Its right up there with one of my favorite Amber frags as well. You mentioned you have a discover set, have you got your nose on Vertus Chaos or or Eau de Cyan? I only have Auramber and Vanilla Oud from them and they are both incredible. I actually blind bought both of them and they both hit, couldn’t pass on the prices. You can get them for in the $120-150 range on discounters. Great review, you turned me onto the Auramber, read the notes and I knew I would like it.

Glad I got you onto Auramber, one of the best ambers I’ve tried without a doubt. I have tried those two but my favorites are Vanilla Oud, Sole Patchouli, and Narcos’is

@@FragranceHunter Thanks. And I have only had Auramber for about one month but I wore it out to happy hour with my wife and she complimented me and so did the bartender. It’s not unwearable for me anyway, I would put Interlude in the unwearable category. I wore that out once and it wasn’t good. I look forward to wearing this one out more often, definitely not during the day.
