i love the synchronicity of this song, and the beat? everything is just perfect.

I love all these songs. More than the original. I think it's really creative how each one pays homage to a particular decade's style of music.
@jon7824 жыл бұрын
kinda takes away from the whole oompa loompa being a people thing. And the songs being part of there culture. Folk songs unfortunately don't pay homage to nothing but themselves.
@LordangeloxD4 жыл бұрын
@@jon782 These are also the songs from the book, yes the 1971 version changes the songs to something and repetitive. I really got tired of hearing the songs from 1971 version.

In the original movie, the squirrels of the book were changed to geese that laid golden eggs. Wonka had "egg evaluators" located in the same room where the geese were. Veruca got on one of these and was classed as a "bad egg". She fell down a chute which was supposed to lead to an incinerator. In "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", the geese were changed back to nut-opening squirrels. Veruca tried to capture one of these squirrels to take home as a pet. The other squirrels did not allow this.

Veruca Salt's Oompa Loompa songs (in both movies) really hits home in these days. I recently read an article that basically blamed social networking sites and video games for making this generation of kids the stupidest in history. Really though, it's the parents' fault (as the lyrics explicitly imply) for not correcting the child's regulatory and constitutive rules. If one allows youtube and video games to raise a child, then expect them to reflect what they learn from their "parents".

I often get the feeling people only hate on this version because they see it as a remake of the 70's film and not just another adaptation of the book. (Some have better reasons, but I'm sure most think this way) I do personally prefer the 70's film, sure, but this one gets major points for staying closer to the source material. What people forget is that Charlie's supposed to be a "saint". The whole idea is that Charlie wins because he's the only good kid. The 70's film kinda contradicts that.

To all of you people complaning about the lyrics in the song, allow me to explain. In the book verison of Charlie and the Choclate Factory, the author, Roald Dahl, actually wrote the lyrics to the songs that the Oompa Loompas were singing. I recently found my old coppy of the book and did a side-by-side comparsion of the song in the book and the song in this scene in the movie and they have the same exact lyrics. So don't blame the writers, blame Roald Dahl if you don't like the lyrics.
