Interesting. I've made canes for a bunch of years, but no walking stick; but been planning on making one, but will use a 2x4. I would never make one like you did, but what the Hell, that is for you and you seem quite pleased with it - which is what counts. Nice work.

Bought a nice Dremel for $20 got 2 now - and Jigsaws, grinders, chopsaws. I am excited to try some of your projects. Thanks so much for these tutorials.

Great idea using the grinder to cut the prep time Great ideas on the hand grip Jordy 💡 👍 The burning of the cracks is a fantastic idea as I've collect some sticks for walking sticks and thought they were useless because of the cracks I did one years ago when I found your channel but after watching this I want to attack it and redo it I'm not sure about your new style bit I think you have to have alot of carving experience to use it in a delicate carve A simple carve for you and still looks amazing Love it Thanks Jordy 😊

Sweet stick man👍 I've carved a few but it takes me a lot longer than you with your fancy pants two working hands , I walk with a stick because of my left side weakness I find that a bigger stick like the one you just carved is much better because when you're out walking and stop to take in the wild life or whatever you can rest your chin on the top .

I made a walking hiking fighting stick but it’s not wood, it’s hollow metal tube that can be disassembled to 3 equal lengths that I can put survival bushcraft items inside. Plus my hiking survival stick is about the same heigh as me which is 5’7 and I can use it as a fighting stick and also turn into a chair; that’s another reason why the staff is dissemble in 3 separate lengths. Lastly, I covered the whole staff with fake wood tape and I put ranger beads and a small compass on it. I made a triangle leather pocket thing so I can put it on top of the 3 length staff to make a chair so I can sit on it.

I wish you could see some of the Spiral walking sticks that I have they're natural spirals done by Nature she does a fantastic job. if you don't know how to find them I'm going to tell you the edge of clearings where honeysuckles grow that's the best place to find a natural spiral in a walking stick you can even find them larger with the spiral on them that make good ornamental posts or banisters anything you want to use them for cuz they're in all sizes just a little tip. thanks for your video I'm getting me one of those Dremel Cutters like that that's excellent I've never seen them

Around my neck of the woods is an invasive bush called honeysuckle that I’ve found to make excellent walking sticks with little effort, you just need to find a straight one cut it green let it dry in a jig to keep it straight for about six months. Leave them outside out of the sun with the bark on, these sticks are hard lightweight but very sturdy. By the way how do you heat your shop... work faster?
