I’m watching this two years behind but I’m contemplating starting my own locs. And I’m SO with you on forgoing a loctician. I’m not feeling paying someone hundreds of dollars to two strand twist my hair when I do that on a regular basis. I’m basically just paying them to part my hair real good and…. That’s just not worth it to me.

Notes from the video on products used: Rose water spray to help with moisturizing. Marley hair to make any buns fuller and for versatility. Kikobe whipped hair butter. And products from napstar a loctition based in new york for A retwist gel it firms the hair. For heat damaged hair kinky human hair purchased from napstar used for loc repair. The hair felt rough and a bit synthetic. Ive decided to loc my own hair using the method you used. My reasons are convenience, style, strength of hair mind and spirit. And length. Thank you for this video.
