Thank you for uploading this wonderful video… I stitched it a dress as like the same measurement and it came out very well and that looks so cute

This little dress is beyond adorable. I have looked at several tutorials of similar dresses but most are typical pillowcase dresses which are sweet but result in a boxy type dress. This appears to fit more to a baby’s bodice or armhole to armhole and then angles out wide on the sides to give it a full flowy look, which would be so adorable on a baby. I have not been sewing for years, but would love to try this for my 10 month old grand baby. I can use one of her little dresses to get the arm hole shape and the length of the dress, but I don’t know what to about the width. I am guessing maybe measure her across her chest from under arm to under arm and double that plus a bit more to get the measurement for both back and front. Then angle the sides out to the hem, and make a pattern. If anyone knows the answer please respond. Hoping my first project after so many years isn’t a dud!
