Very Easy Crochet Baby Booties for BEGINNERS ( Newborn to 1 year)

Learn how to crochet easy and simple crochet baby booties with this step by step tutorial. You can use these crochet shoes as roll top baby booties or as crochet tie-up shoes or as cuffed booties. These booties/shoes are perfect for beginners.
In this tutorial, I have made 0-3 months baby crochet booties. But you can make this as 3-6 months crochet booties or 6-12 months booties by changing the starting chain stitches.
For my 0-3 months baby booties I used a 4mm crochet hook and DK weight yarn.
For newborn size use a 3.5mm crochet hook
For size 0 - 3 months start with 32 chain stitches
For size 3 - 6 months start with 38 chain stitches
For size 6 - 12 months start with 44 chain stitches
This pattern can be worked up in about 30 minutes.

For any beginner following this tutorial, I highly recommend that while doing the first row of single crochet (the one you do after chain row of 32) while inserting into the chain count its number e.g. 1, 2 ,3 ....31 so that the pattern ahead won't be messed up otherwise it definitely won't work.

You can use 2mm hook, but the mittens will come out much smaller. Otherwise you will have to change the pattern altogether
