👍 Change your idea up a bit and make them into Christmas tree decorations. For those that have natural things on their trees, like wood decorations and pine ones etc try using Sisal twice, it can come in green for gardening and the natural colour beige. Or use tinsel wool/yarn. Also, get yourself a crochet hook, will save you time instead of platting the hanger, chainstitch them, for tree decorations only though, as they won't be as strong but OK for a tree decoration.

It's a cute base idea... but I would definitely complete the body with crocheted facial features (eyes, ears, antenna, etc.), and possibly even add some miniature arms & hands, a tiny body, and miniature legs & feet. 🤷🏽‍♀️ IDK... That's just what I would do. I'm not going to, but if I had the umpto, I would.

Keychains need to be strong. They are tugged in and out of bags and pockets. This would not last. And, sorry, looks like a child's project. I really don't think one could make a profit on these. They take too long to make for the very low price you could charge.

Even if you don't make it into an animal, you could place a small gift or piece of candy in each. Great way to use up small amounts of yarn and have a different type of small ornament for a smaller or children's tree.
