That's not a fast biker !!!! That's a super smooth biker with an incredible knowledge of the ring !!!!. Notice how there is very little if any line adjustment to the apex. He steers in and commits. No hanging off the bike or knee down show boating . Just solid impressive smooth lines

Sorry, but VState is correct. The rider is not using good body positioning for cornering.
@boahgeil465
@boahgeil465 3 жыл бұрын
He is a fast biker. He is probably faster than 95% of the bikers there as most have a bad hanging off technique and just do it for show off with cornering speeds that do not even require hanging off. He could ride faster cornering speeds with proper hanging off, sure. But that's not necessary to be fast, this is a tourist ride and not a race.

You can tell he’s old school. Watch any old bike race from the 1970s-1990s and nobody’s hanging off really. This guy is smooth and very very fast without it and clearly doesn’t feel any need to do it. Personally I wish I rode more like him, and I’ve been riding for 25 years.

You can always tell when the guy behind the wheel was never man enough to get behind the bars with the little regard they show for the bikers safety it’s a whole lot different hitting those corners with just leathers and a helmet opposed to a metal roll cage for safety always letting pride get in the way but I digress

Yep, either sit back or pass, don't drive close to bikes, drivers often think that bikers want to race, but mostly they just want to ride their ride.

Nonsense. Usual defensive biker bullshit. Face it, the car has far superior braking ability and more mechanical grip. This sequence proves the point that many bikers simply will not accept. High power to weight ratio is one thing, but note how the car repeatedly reels in the bike due to it's superior braking and mechanical grip. That is one very talented driver with plenty of balls to push that hard on The Ring. He's owning the rider through the corners- which is what real talent is all about- not simply straight line speed due to sheer power to weight ratio. The TRUTH is painful for bikers.

Not really. The car lets go at 1g and so does the bike. There were several instances where the car was sideways and the bike was pulling away in tighter corners (where the perceived risk is lower on the bike). The difference is line selection (we cant cut the curbs) and those hard barriers coming up fast that make the bike brake more (which is why the car caught up.) You guys spin out and your airbag goes off if you go over the limit, we break bones or worse when we hit those barriers so this is not a bike friendly track (and I didn't even mention the dirty surface with oil and antifreeze everywhere that they never clean up). This biker is smooth but obviously not a pro. A pro would be closer to the limit more consistently. The car would be sliding and not able to catch back up under those circumstances because the bike has more track to work with (on switchbacks) and much more acceleration difference than the braking difference (given similar relative skill levels).. Don't get too full of yourself car guy. Speaking of talent, balls etc I bet if they switched, the biker driving the car would have a several minute gap over the car driver on the bike where here the net result is about even. and also bet the faster the bike (larger cc to make up that gap) the larger that gap would end up being..@@liverpoolscottish6430

Absolute craftsman on the bike, what coarse knowledge and skill, makes me wince how close the car was, if you have ever diced with cars on a sports bike it takes a lot to keep your cool as you know under braking that gap is going to become a 2 ton snow plough up yer chuff. That takes balls.

nice shot, but i must admit, i´m with some of the other comments: you touch an other car and you both lose few meters of your race line, you touch a biker , and he or she is FLYING of it becoming instable in in instance. do one round in reverse (you on 2, the other in your 4 wheels) and you will know why this was a nice race, but many who know how it feels to have a so called cager so close behind. thanks for uploading anyhow: real skills, both the 4wheeler and 2wheeler. :-O :-)
