Very good job using what you have to facilitate to repair! I would have left the pump cover in the lathe to do most of the sanding, just affix the sand paper to some flat stock half the width of the part. Watching you face both parts in the lathe, makes me grateful I have a mill and a fly cutter! Last thing find out who welded the stops on the fork rails and make him carry one fork from the lift truck back and forth home and work for a week!
