here is very little nightmares story explained. This is a direct little nightmares prequel which sheds some light on six's origin and the nest.

Couple theories: 1 ) The Pretender is not a child, everyone keeps looking for her parents, but she is a child sized monster, just like all the other monsters. 2) The Pretender is playing with her dolls and we see her on 3 different chapters - the girl in the yellow raincoat knocks down the doll in hat and coat to climb on the table and totally messes up the table- The Pretender throws a fit and yells at the doll - The Pretender is then seen crying with the doll in pieces. The Nest is clearly her world, the other antagonists exist to make her happy and one thing out of place she throws a fit. Clearly when this world disintegrated and it became open season on kids, the inhabitants of the Nest had their own plan for what to do with them. They may have been companions for the Pretender, but since she kills them when they get out of line, better to just make dolls because the dolls won't piss her off. Make sense? Also my other theory. The girl at the end of VLN is not Six either. Raincoat goes from VLN girl 1 to VLN girl 2, is abandoned in Pale City where Six takes possession of it. (I'm sticking to my belief that LN2 is also a prequel)

Perhaps they could add a dlc in LN2 about the girl who had escaped the nest, Following her adventures in the pale city until she reached the dump site where her raincoat was left behind.

Imo... LN2 is the prequel of VLN and LN1 is the last part of the series So... LN2 > VLN > LN1

Everyone keeps saying that the prequel is little Nightmares 2, when in reality the developers created this mobile game as a prequel to both games. (they released this when they're still working at the depths DLC) It also shows the girl who Wore the original yellow raincoat. And after six retrieved it, she probably got caught from the hunter and mono saved her. That's when their journey through pale city started And six going to the maw because of hunger (She got cursed if you got the secret ending of LN2) The timeline is basically like this: A Very Little Nightmares > LN2 > LN

I personally don’t believe the pretender is the lady’s daughter like a lot of people seem to believe. There is a huge difference in culture between the lady and the pretender, and if the lady is a geisha, if the pretender is her child she wouldn’t be at the maw in the first place, she would be helping raise her child.

The thing I don't get is the timeline: -VLN is where Six got her coat -LN2 is also where Six's gets her coat But both are prequel so.. So is it VLN→LN2→LN?

This doesn't makes sense.... LN 2 confirms to be a prequel to LN 1 because in the post credits scene whoever the girl in the yellow coat is, got out of the tv and shows the poster of the Maw and her hunger is heard So if we follow this mobile games' story.....does that mean she was the one who came crashing with an air balloon? And got killed by the pretender and then be replaced by Six herself by taking the rain coat and using a raft to reach Maw? 🤔 If this is true, at least Mono was given justice for being betrayed in LN 2 But don't quote me on that...its just a theory.... It’s a sequel in the sense that it’s the second game, but I still think it must take place chronologically prior to LN1. The raincoat, Six never using her powers to fight the enemies, the hunger manifesting at the end. Since the devs rarely give canonical answers all we can do is speculate tho.

Every single game in a series that comes after the first is always a sequel but that doesn’t mean the story. is a prequel not to mention a prequel is a spoiler I’m sure they say it’s a sequel so that when people see the ending as well as the secret ending then they can realize what it is

I am so confused about the raincoat. Huge Spoiler warning We see her get it for presumably the first time in Little nightmares 2. Which is a prequel. We see shadow Six points at an advertisement for the maw, so Six would go there next. That means the timeline would go, Little nightmares 2, really little nightmares, then the original if this is on her way to the maw. But why did that other girl have her raincoat? Also, why are there so many children with powers in this world? Six can steal powers, so does that mean she was here to steal the pretender's abilities?

It's really funny, the way you put it not gonna lie I think I heard someone say somewhere that the children could be immune to the Eye's powers which is why the game is called Little Nightmares, so somewhat you could be right
